Surgery March 24, 2014
HW: 221, Size 22/24
CW: 163, Size 12/14
Inches Lost: 31.75

I'm down about 60lbs since surgery (3-17-14). Just had total hip replacement surgery on 6-17 so had to lose the 10 lbs of Fluid added and the lack of exercise. Needless to say I am very pleased and feel so much better!

Im 6 weeks post op, down 35 lbs. It has been hell but I am happy to see my huge belly is shrinking fast.

First on day of surgery..3-17-14. Second one this morning.

I have a funny story. We had a large amount of laundry to do, so I drug my 13yr old daughter to town to get it all done in one shot. I was wearing my go-to black pants and black v-neck tshirt. It kept slipping off of my shoulder. My daughter says, "mom, i can see your bra strap again...go buy a smaller shirt!" I said, "Ohhh, I should go buy some super cute tshirt and take a pic." She blurted out, "OMG, MOM DO NOT START TAKING AND POSTING SELFIES". The entire place started cracking up! I am fitting in everything better, my car, my chairs. It's a wonderful feeling!

I an at 2 mos today and have lost 50 lbs.......and a whole lot of health problems......as well as 25 inches. I am so happy!!

I am having a hard time this week getting in Protein and Water. This is my soft foods start week ans I get the foamies so am sticking primarily with my Soups. 1 slice of ultra thin deli cheese has gone well. Rook some milk of magnesia abiut 5 hours ago when I realized I hadnt had a bm in about 5 days. Still waiting on it to work. Going to go read the lable again to see when I can take another dose.

OK, if there was a virtual bucket of Water, I would throw it on all of you. It would seem to me a few folks are frustrated by some members of the forum and feel the need to vocalize these frustrations. Which, in turn, has frustrated other members. You all can run around chasing each other's tails if you wish, but if you sit back and read your posts objectively, surely you can see you are not casting yourself in a very good light.
Of course everyone has the right to create posts. They can be about whatever is on your mind and it is greatly appreciated when the posts are created in the correct sub-forum. But just like in America, where we have the freedom to say whatever we want, we also have to be prepared to handle the consequences. Standing up and telling everyone you are going to say something offensive and then crying foul when people take offense is just ... well ... offensive.
So, if you are going to complain that people didn't wear their adult undergarments when going into this process, make sure that you are wearing yours while you are on your soapbox.

The bottom line is keep it civil, don't get personal and don't take it personal. LL posted the rules of the forum on the other thread and they must be abided. Not everyone has the same background, experience, education, resources ... respect yourself by respecting others.

Hi all. Day 8. Am feeling pretty good. Will feel so much better when my hubby doesn't have to pack my wound. I weighed 214 day of surgery (march 24th). I came home on the 26th weighing 224. Tonight I weighed in at 205.
I have a barium swallow xray and blood test tomorrow (well I guess today) and then a nutrition class. I am hoping to move from clear to full liquids.
Today was a nice day here in the midwest...finally! Was good to open the house up and go for a walk outside.
How are the other March 24thers doing?

Almost 3 weeks post op (surgery was 3/12/14). Went back to work today, AND.....I went to the gym!! So proud of myself, feels good!

Everyone keeps bragging about gas x but my surgeon told me they don't work for rny, different gas different place. I brought them and they took them from me.

I am a Toyota guy and lately I've been seeing some ads for the new 2014 Corolla and so as a gift to myself and having lost 111 pounds now... I decided that a new body should come with a new car. So I replaced my 2005 Corolla with a 2014 Corolla.
And she's AWESOME. And because I'm totally worth it.

Lol, my thoughts too, it was 3 days out for me, felt like a toddler telling ppl I went doodie

Now I am in preop!
