  1. I love your thread. My surgery was 03/05 and I weighed 224. As of this morning, I am 199. Woot Hoot! As you can see, I am a slow loser too. I know if I drank more water and exercised, I might also see the scale move a little faster. I pray that I never see 200 pounds again. Hopefully, losing slow will help us keep the weight off. Your threads give me the incentive to keep going. Thank you so much for sharing your journey!

    Losing weight slow

I am also a slow loser. I have only lost 25 pounds since surgery on 03/05. I know it is frustrating but I hope that means we will keep the weight off. Good luck on your journey.

Locking up my scale for now

I have lost a total of 58 pounds since last October. Having said this, I have only lost 25 pounds since my surgery on 03/05. I am hoping that by losing it slow, the weight will stay off this time. Congratulations on your weight loss.
  4. I am two months out and down 56 pounds. Having said this, 32 pounds were lost before surgery and I have only lost 24 since surgery. I have found that most of the people who have lost a lot of weight, include the amount of their pre-op weight loss in the overall total. I think you are doing great.

    becoming increasingly frustrated

I will be 8 weeks out on Wednesday and I have only lost 22 pounds. Some of us just lose it slower then others. We just need to be patient.

    Best Scar treatment?

Mederma Worked great for my gall bladder scars and is already making a difference on my sleeve scars a well.
  7. I think many of us did the same thing today. I ate a chocolate covered marshmallow egg and had 4 bites of pumpkin pie. I do not do this everyday. Today is a holiday and I am going to forgive myself. Overall, I do not think I out ate my sleeve. Two months ago I would of had 2 pieces of pie and 5 or 6 pieces of Sees candy by now! On the positive side, I left the stuffing and yams alone!

    Thinking of Quitting- I'm overwhelmed

My doctor only required a two day liquid diet. The two weeks before were no carbs. I think you will be just fine as you are "cheating" healthy!

    Losing Weight but not Inches?

It took me 40 pounds before I went down a size. It seems I lose everywhere. As a result , it seems my feet are getting smaller then my waist.

    Am I Eating Too Much?

I am just a couple days short of 4 weeks out. I also can eat 600-800 calories without issue. I was 258 to start last October. I was 224 the day of surgery and I am 210 today, so I am not losing as fast as others. Having said this, I am glad I can eat comfortably and as long as I can average a couple of pounds a week, or 8-10 pounds a month, I think I can be satisfied with that. Hopefully, this means less excess skin to deal with?
  13. I know that must be a great feeling an I am anxious to join you! Congratulations!

    Help! Scale not moving

I had a stall after one week too. I am almost 4 weeks out and am only down 14 pounds since surgery. But I hear if we lose it slow, it will be better for us in the long run. I was disappointed also but I figure if I can average 8-10 pounds a month, in time, it will all come off eventually.
  15. I had my gall bladder out 5 years prior to the sleeve. I thought that surgery was easy to recover from.
