    One Surgery or Two?

Hi everybody. I have a band that slipped twice. It's been 11 years since my original surgery. I lost over 100 lbs and have gained it all back now. This second band slipped. I have been in pain my stomach is above the band now. My surgeon said we should take it out and do the bypass preferably in one surgery. We put in the request over a month ago to bcbs and I still have no word. They are aaying that because of all the snow in the northeast they have been backed up on cases. Ohhh did I mention my dr put it In as an emergency. Help. What do I do??

    Lapband slipped twice

My second surgery was the same thing. I went in for something else and woke up with a new band. Had we discussed it beforehand I may have had it taken out completely and had Rny then. You live n learn. I hope all goes well for you. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Let me know your outcome.
  4. Hi everyone. I'm in the process of waiting for my insurance to approve a revision from band to Rny . I had band 11 years ago and 3 years later it slipped as well as a hernia. I had it fixed and they replaced the band. Now it happened again. I want this thing out and I need Rny. I gained all 100 lbs back. Does anyone have horizon blue cross blue shield? Is it hard to get approved?
