  4. Can I be the only person who has failed a two weight loss surgeries??? Had lap band and lost 100 pounds. Switched to the sleeve in Sept and lost 40 pounds. But, I have lost nothing in the last 3-4 months....in fact I have gained 15 pounds. I am almost back to my surgery date weight. WTF?? Can I be re-sleeved??? I can eat moderate amounts of food and obviously is doing that. But, I feel hungry most of the day. What is this pouch test/diet I am seeing a few mentions about? I feel like a complete failure and that I will never be an "acceptable" size.
  5. I have to agree with Humpty Dumpty. I think the sooner you remove the fibroid, the better. What are the chances that the fibroid could turn malignant? What about it continuing to grow in size? Plus, if you were to do both surgeries together, what if they have difficulty with the fibroid and can't perform the tummy tuck? Being in the medical profession, I have seen too much happen that could have possibly been avoided.....not to scare you, but get it taken care of as quickly as possible!!!!
  6. Well, I made it to my "goal" weight that I had set for when we went to Vegas last month. Yeah!! Plus, this was the first time in MANY years, that I did not need a seat belt extender for the flights! Yeah x 2!!! But, I have not done well since. With Vegas, Christmas, and a convention all last week, I haven't lost anything since then due to all the going and excellent restaurants we have eaten at. I HAVE NOT gained, but haven't lost either. I MUST get back on track, as we have moved up our South Africa trip from next year to this summer....so I desperately need to lose another 50 pounds (minimum) before then...that's my personal goal. So, starting today, I have gone back to drinking my shakes, and logging my intake....as I was pre-Vegas. I have also got to get back to exercising. We have one last deer hunt starting this Friday (which consumes ALOT of time), so I am hoping on Sunday/Monday, I will be back in full swing of things again. I have even thought about doing the liquid diet again for a week to get a jump start on things. I am now 3 months out and am noticing that I can consume a bit more than a month ago. Anyone else with the same??? I know that all the swelling and such is gone by this point...just wish I was that "tight" again!!! So, even though I was somewhat victorious, I need to be scolded to get back on track!!!!!

  8. The revision was much worse. And, as Tiffykins stated, the port site was the sorest for me as well. I was up and going after the band the following day, it took about 5 days before I felt like I wanted to get up and go with the revision. Lots of acid, so be sure and have some Pepcid AC on hand....that was a lifesaver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  9. Congrats!!! Yes, it is a scary process, but SSSSSOOOOOOO worth it in the end!!!!
  10. My surgeon was Dr. David Kim in Colleyville, Tx. Surgery was performed at Forest Park Medical Center. Both get 5 star ratings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I say it's your gallbladder as well!! US is not always accurate. Request to have lipase/amylase bloodwork performed (this will show liver functions, which will be elevated if the gb is at fault). Also, you can request to have an ejection fraction test performed for the GB. Keep your head up!!! The gallbladder is a miserable thing once it starts acting up. And, with today's insurance requirements, it almost has to be at the point of bursting before they want to do preventative surgery.

    Popcorn

THat has been my craving as well!! Dr says no microwave popcorn, so I made some the old fashion way!!!!
  13. I had to do 4 weeks of liquids - Optifast. Wasn't all that bad and I was felt full. Also could have Crystal Lite, sugar free jello, etc. I still do mainly liquids with only 1 meal a day....just to much to try and get in now the sleeve!!!!
  14. This "fad" came through my town a few years ago. They wrap you up in all these soaked ace bandages. Then, they put plastic bags on your feet to catch all the "toxins" being excreted from your body as you move around for the alotted time. Was suppose to lose inches in just one sitting..... bologney!!!!! The above may be different from the "fad", but sounds alot like it.
  15. 15 here!!! 5 from lap band, 5 from gall bladder and 5 from VSG! I am NOT a candidate for a bikini commercial as my husband says!! Now stretchmarks....that's a whole other number!!!! lol!!!
