Stay strong Heidi. It sounds like you're doing great. I don't know about the wine, I worry about getting an ulcer, so I'm staying away from the wine and coffee for now. Hang in there, and don't give up. Even though we've had surgery, there are still obstacles as frustrating as they may be, we can't let the obstacles beat us! Good luck and keep us posted

Yes! I had that happen and posted about it too. I'm two months out. And the first week I lost about 9 or 10, then went to about a half lb a day, then nothing for 12days! In fact I would go up a lb or 2, then down, but couldn't loose anything for 12 days!!!!!! I was so frustrated. How is that even possible? So I increased my Protein intake. The Isopure flavored bottled drinks are helpful for me. I mix it with half Water and half a bottle and lots of ice. They're 40 grams of protein a bottle. So, I'm finding if I get in 80+grams of protein! it helps. Once that stopped, I'm still going slow. I've lost 9 lbs in a month. I don't why it's going so slow, I'm exercising and doing everything right, but I've just resigned to the fact that maybe it'll take me longer... It's.a journey, focus on doing what you're supposed to do and it will work. Be patient. There's no getting around the frustration though. It's why I've always failed too because I would say "what's the point?" And dig into the Cookies. Now we can't do that, so we have no choice but to hang in there and consider it a journey. Also, I find that with the protein, if I can get milk in, I loose better too. That's always been the case for me though and it seems to be the case now too. Hang in there and trust the process.

    Hang in there Lynetta,
I, too went through the same thing. I thought that something was wrong with my pouch. My dietician actually said that maybe I was not eating enough calories. Go figure. So I definitely made sure that I got close to the desired caloric count each day along with trying to get more protein in because getting that protein down can be difficult at times. You also have to make sure that you're getting enough Fiber in as well. I'm a nurse so please do not be offended when I ask you if you are having regular bowel movements? You need to make sure that you get pretty good bowel movements in also. Good luck and God bless!

I went 6-7 weeks with no weight loss whatsoever (from Christmas to mid-February). About a week ago I suddenly dropped about 4 pounds and today I'm down 2 more for a total of 106 lost. Friday will be my 9 month anniversary - I thought I had hit my 'set-point'. I think it was my body adjusting to this low weight combined with lower activity associated with cold, snowy weather and a touch of hibernation mode. I'd like to lose 10 more pounds and maintain there. If it doesn't happen it wouldn't break my heart - I'm happy enough where I am. I weigh 126 and wear a size 8-10 pants and a small/med top. :-)

Yes. The surgery messes with your hormones. It's important to stay on your meds (I'm assuming you already have) and call your surgeons office. They should have staff that can immediately help you. I hope they do. You've done super good. If possible force yourself to go outside and walk. Getting out of the house and seeing the sun helps me quite a bit. Also, Don't give up on getting some help .

Hang in there... the weight will drop just give your body time to rest and heal first. You did not put the weight on in a day so your are not going to take it off in a day. Sounds like you are totally doing everything right, just stick to your plan and believe me one day you will jump on the scale and it will be down like 10 lbs. I'm 22 months post op, and a very slow loser. I would not lose for a few weeks then BAM I would have a significant drop. Keep up the good work you will see results - I promise

Wow! 60 at your three month! That is awesome. Congratulations! My doc said he wanted to see me down 30 more at my three month, but this is making me worry that I won't make it. I really haven't seen much about the weight loss stalling this early, but it sounds like its common, so thanks everyone for your feedback. I'll just keep swimming.

Just joining this thread... Week four, have been stalled for nearly two weeks but have gotten a lot of encouragement from this site so thank you everyone and stay patient with your journey. I think a lot of us expected it to go faster. I put a post it on my mirror.. It's a lifestyle, not a race.

There are a bazillion posts about stalls at this stage and others. It's a part of losing weight unfortunately and frustrating as it may be. If it makes you feel any better, I randomly gained 5lbs today! LOL! Seriously. I changed nothing in my diet and exercise. Random 5lbs of Water weight. Our bodies are a pure joy, aren't they?

I'm also struggling with finding something interesting to eat as Protein.
But even more, I was also wondering what people at the hummus or Peanut Butter with.
One thing that I do like to have is a Scotch Egg, or a modified Scotch Egg.
Make some hard boiled eggs and peel them when done.
Take some ground turkey -- a handful that looks like a large meatball -- flatten it out and then wrap it around a hard boiled egg. Then roll it in some parmesan cheese. Do this will all the turkey.
Then bake in the oven at 350 for about 20 minutes. Yum! It's a nice warm meal and very tasty but also portable.
