    Weight stalled?

Stalls are common and so is the nervousness over them Totally normal and understandable. After all, we have been through so much and don't want to fail. Just keep following your plan and it will break

211 Today! UGH Help me Stop.

My nut suggested adding healthy fats. Cooking with butter and olive oil (not excessive), nuts (almonds, peanuts, peanut butter), avocados. Hope this helps

170lbs gone.. 12 months post op.

WOW! What an amazing transformation! You look fantastic! Way to work your sleeve!! Thanks for sharing! A true inspiration.
  6. I agree about getting in touch with a Dietician. Especially if you feel your back on track and not losing anymore weight. Maybe get in touch with your primary Dr and have some blood work drawn. Make sure all that is normal.....
  7. It's good your tracking again. That always helps me. The pouch test helped me reboot and get back to basics. And then focus on protein and water. Don't be ashamed. You know what to do you just need to do it. Getting back to the gym and tracking is awesome. One day at a time!!

    Why am i hungry?

Are you taking an acid reducer? Prilosec, Protonix or Nexium? Excess acid can feel like hunger.....

feeling good but stall out a lot.

Welcome to the site! Sounds like your doing great. Stalls are common but frustrating Most important when in a stall is to stay on track and not get frustrated and give up. Some things that helped me.....Changing up my exercise routine, increasing water intake, playing around with my calorie intake. Of course talking with your surgeon and Nut if your concerned is important too

    GOAL met!

My energy level started picking up between 4-6 weeks after surgery.

    GOAL met!

Pre Sleeve I was always a big water drinker. Immediately following surgery I struggled. It didn't taste good and seemed to set really heavy in my stomach. I would try adding flavors but they all seemed too sweet. Someone finally suggested hot tea. So that is what I lived off of the first 3 months or so. After that I found I could tolerate it again. I add flavoring (crystal light) and start on it first thing in the morning.

    My Fitness Pal.....Sabatoging me?

    I like that idea.....
  14. I religiously track my calories and exercise, Entering everything into MFP. But lately I notice that at the end of the day if I have any extra calories I feel I "must" eat them. I have reached my goal weight and am entering maintenance so MFP has obviously worked for me. But I don't like feeling out of control and that is what is happening lately when I track using MFP. Am I crazy? Making sense to anyone? Thoughts.....Suggestions? I was thinking about not tracking over the next week to see how it goes. I'm terrified of going back to where I was. Maybe I'm just overthinking and overreacting. Thanks for listening to my ramblings. I'm open to thoughts and suggestions.
  15. Ok, my computer is seriously acting up, lol. I just reached my goal Saturday so maintenance is new for me. I don't find that I have any cravings but do have an issue with MFP. When I have left over calories at the end of the day I feel I must eat them, lol. Don't ask me why, it's a mental thing. But someone offered some great advice/suggestion that I'm going to try to take care of that issue. I exercise 5 days a week, 30-45 minutes a day. Treadmill on incline or elliptical. I gave Focus T25 and C25K a go and found I didn't enjoy either one of them. I just worry so much about going back to where I was, it's consuming my every thought and I need to find a balance. I guess just like the losing phase was a learning process maintenance will be a learning process as well. Congrats to all those and their success! Any suggestions/advice are greatly appreciated
  16. Wow that's an amazing transformation! I am not there yet but yes, I worry about maintaining when my time comes for that. My husband had his surgery before me and he seems to be maintaining just fine. He was lactose intollerant before surgery but for some reason has no more issue with that. So ice cream calls his name alot and that is his personal issue to work out but he's learning his limit and how to fit it into his life. He goes to Planet Fitness and when he gains a couple pounds he steps things up a bit to get back where he was. He also is heavy into bicycling, which is new for him. Do you have anything you crave or that you think will be a problem? Have you thought about solutions or management tricks? Nothing that That's great!! How do you find maintenance working? Have you made changes? I am nervous/scared about it......

    My Fitness Pal.....Sabatoging me?

Your right I am sabotaging myself and I guess what I was trying to say is that My Fitness Pal is helping me do that. When I see the "leftover" calories at the end of the day I'm giving myself permission to eat them. Even if not hungry. Make sense? I'm thinking about not using MFP over the next week and just focusing on eating on plan, water and exercise. I was just curious if anyone else ran into this issue using MFP?
  20. Sleeved 2/12/13 Height: 5'5 HW: 313 (July 2012) SW: 254 CW: 138.4 My goal was 140. As of last Saturday I surpassed it Now I'm entering freak out mode about maintaining. Anyone else having this issue?

    guilty fitness conscience

I understand the guilt but my feelings are you must find something that works for you and that you enjoy doing. Recognizing that the workout was causing more pain than enjoyment is important. I'm glad you didn't continue and injury yourself worse. I tried Focus T25 for 5 weeks and quit. It hurt my knees every day.....never getting any better for me and I got to the point I dreaded the workout. I knew it was something I wouldn't stick with if I hated doing it. If that makes any sense..... Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Try not to feel guilty

    biotin

I take 10,000 a day. It didn't stop my hair from falling out but has helped with regrowth. I have a ton coming back in, I'm a year out.
  23. I had the same problem. There is an app you can download called "eat slower" or something along those lines. It really helped me in the beginning.

    GOAL met!

Thanks everyone My best advice be would follow the plan. Mine was protein/non starchy veggie (2:1 ratio), minimum 64 ounces water (I get between 100-150 ounces a day), 30 minutes of cardio/5 days a week. Don't beat yourself up if you fall off track. Just get back up and keep going. I haven't been perfect on this journey but I feel like the sleeve has helped me get back on track where as pre sleeve if I would have got off track I wouldn't of been able to refocus and keep going.
