3 1/2 weeks into the Paleo challenge - and I'm down 10lbs!

Thanks @Stevehud & @ShrinkingPeach - I'm on a different set of vitamins & minerals to help support macrominerals. I've been about 80-85% paleo during this challenge. It's been a bit easier than I thought. It's nice to break free from all the fake foods that we are always surrounded by! 10 days to go!

@lauren8486 & @Smye - I am fairly new to Paleo, however have been doing research and getting ideas for a while now. My crossfit gym is participating in a "Summertime" challenge ("Lurong Summertime Challenge"), and thought I'd join in. I am hoping this will help me push towards my goal as I am SO close.
Granted I'm only 2 days in, but so far so good and I am enjoying looking for idea's and recipes. I'll have to look for those books Lauren and through your website Smye. Thanks!! :)

At my goal weight and just waiting now to have my skin removal!!! Wouldn't change anything I went through in this experience for anything, cause it made me who I am now, and I am very happy with who I am right now!!!

@Tanika81 - I am a year out! I am doing a 5 week challenge with my Crossfit gym. It's a national challenge that encompasses a Paleo based diet, fitness (crossfit), challenge workouts, etc. I am getting closer to my over all goal and am really excited to see how close this pushes me!

@Babbs - I stayed the same, but since I've been home (4 days), I've dropped almost 3lbs. lol. We stayed really active on the cruise. Swimming, snorkeling, walking a ton, plus I hit the gym, and jogged on the outdoor track on the boat., which I am 100% certain is what helped me from gaining anything. I watched what I ate (for the most part), with a few treats thrown in, but kept it fairly reasonable. Have a SUPER fun time in Hawaii!!!

Down another 4 lbs in two weeks! This makes my total loss 80 lbs! Next goal is 20 lbs in two months for my vacation in Myrtle Beach! I think I can, I think I can!

Make a list of all the things you enjoy doing to keep yourself busy. Reading a book, getting a pedicure, going for walks, playing a game, arts/crafts, etc. Turn to those things now as a companion. It is a huge adjustment, I know. It does get better and it does get easier. Be patient with yourself. <3

@butterfly125 - not stupid at all!! CrossFit workouts incorporate elements from high-intensity interval training, Olympic weightlifting, plyometrics, powerlifting, gymnastics, calisthenics, strongman and other exercises. I started CF about 5 months post op and I have fallen in love with it. Honestly the best workout's I have EVER gotten in my life. Such a supportive and encouraging community. The Reebok Crossfit games otherwise known as "The Open", starts this week. Athletes from affiliated gyms from all over the country will preform the same workout every week, for 5 weeks, and will be judged on time, accuracy, speed, etc. Some people use The Open to move on to Regionals and further competitions. I am competing for experience and to see how well I do. I am still fairly new at Crossfit, but am really liking the changes it has made within me.

The tough thing is, I put in the work. ALOT of it. Focus on diet and getting the correct nutrients in. I work out several times a week, including Crossfit training. And I haven't dropped more than a pound in almost 2 months. I am about 10 months out and am getting a bit frustrated with the lack of movement on the scale. I was cruising along with my weight loss, and even hit my surgeons year goal at my 6 month mark. Not sure what else to do at this point. Will be setting up a meeting with the nutritionist and my Crossfit coaches for some help.
