No more citrus ever?
This! ^^^^^^ Newer post ops, you'll get this as time goes on. I abhor the 'absolutes' we hear all the time from surgeons and other post ops. This is supposed to be for the rest of our lives, not the restricted diets so many of us have grown to dispise. Just thinking about something being a 'never' makes me want to do it our of spite

No more citrus ever?
I'm almost 2.5 years out, and I have citrus fruits and have no issues.

Cold water obsessed
I can't drink cold water since surgery. Room temperature goes down much better for me.

Green stool
Rapid transit could cause stool to be green. This is especially true if it is green diarrhea, rather than a fully-formed green stool. Food that is moving so quickly through the digestive system will not spend a long enough time in the large intestine for water to be absorbed, and will result in a loose stool.

Skinny people problems
@@Raynbolite I finally stopped sweating! Between being a fatty and early menopause, if I exerted myself at all I would sweat. People at work got used to seeing the back of my hair and neck wet with sweat. It was gross. And yes, now I'm always cold

Is Eating Fruit Like Eating Candy?
It's as simple as this: If it grows from the ground, a bush or a tree, it's good for you. Nobody got fat from eating too much fruit. We got fat from eating too much processed crap.

Food and Eating... the Extremes
Wow, what a great article! Thanks for bringing Orthorexia Nervosa to people's attention. I've seen the behavior in people before, but never knew it as an actual disorder.

SAY GOODBYE NOW!
The American Cancer Society has long understood the relationship between looking good and feeling good. They have a program called "Look Good, Feel Better" that partners with Cosmetologists and provides spa days and other services for women with cancer. I know I definitely feel much better about myself when I take the time to do my hair and makeup and accessorize on weekends and days I work from home. It's a challenge during weight loss, but I'm determined to wear clothes that fit now. I've been lost in shapeless knits and elastic waistbands for too long, and I'm ready to look as good on the outside as I know I'm going to feel on the inside. I know constantly buying clothes can get expensive, but this is a peeve of mine. As people lose weight, I feel it's SO IMPORTANT to wear clothes that fit your ever shrinking body! Not only does it just make you look more put together, it makes you FEEL more put together, thus encouraging continuing positive behaviors that got you there! Even if it's just a few nicer pieces you can mix and match until you have to buy the next size down. We lived our lives being frumpy and wearing over sized, ill fitting clothes to hide our bodies. Why continue to do that as we get smaller? We need to flaunt our confidence and success to the world!

Excess Skin: And the Emotional, Thick Skinned Woman
@@LilMissDiva Irene Amazing article and very timely for me. Although I'm much earlier post op than you (17 months), I'm at goal and now contemplating a tummy tuck with panni surgery at my 2 year surgiversary in about 7 months. I've been going back and forth about it. I think this decision is harder than actually deciding to have WLS! I will just weigh my options and then ultimately decide when the time comes. If I don't do it before 50 ( in a year and a half), I probably won't do it at all
