    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

I had a week or so where I didn't lose any weight but it's starting To come off now finally. I definitely count the calories from protein shakes as part of my over all calories which I have felt drinking slowed down my weight loss by a ton. So at this point I'm trying to eat mostly tuna no and foods with more protein because I'm just not down with the shakes anymore. This girl on here told me she drinks about half of an isolate drink a day just to help her hair so think I might start doing that. But over all the shakes just have way too many calories for me. Good job starting the gym soon! I hope everything works out for you.

Thanx! I did feel so much better afterwards. I definitely need to work on my water and protein intake as well. Glad your water retention is getting back to normal! I feel like mine is off balance still but I'm making progress in every area each day. One month out so happy for you! Didn't think I'd be feeling so good after a month but I am and I hope you are too

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

I was having a lot of pain today but it was the first time since surgery I have had my period and I'm very constipated so I wasn't sure if it was just or if something was wrong. So I decided to go to the hospital and run some tests which I'm very happy I did. Nothing was wrong thank goodness but I got my surgery in Mexico and haven't seen a doctor in the states or anything since. It was a great feeling to have complete tests done and know for sure everything is healing really well and nothing is wrong. Now I can continue on confidently until I find a doctor here to continue with. I'm so glad I went! And that everything is fine. They also gave me lots of medicine for everything so things should run smoothly from here on out. Hope all of y'all are doing well!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

I don't have a nutritionist, I got my surgery done in Mexico. My insurance doesn't cover it so it was really the only way to afford it. I think I'm going to try the isolate protein drinks. I mean I have tried them before but out of all the ones I've tried they have it at the GNP down the street and I don't hate it lol. I'm glad to hear the back pain I had wasn't extremely unusual. Because it was really starting to worry me. I think I'm going to find a doctor here in the states and get checked out to make sure everything is okay. Thanks for all the advice guys.

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Thank you everyone for the protein advice and I would love to keep up on here, things seems a lot more boring now until I find more things to do around here other then eat food haha. I'm living on an island right now so there aren't many things to keep myself busy. I also had a hard time with my first few weeks after surgery. It was very slow and I had a lot of back pain strange enough that I haven't heard many other people complain about. But things are starting to look up I'm trying to get my diet more under control to manage faster weight loss. 13 pounds after surgery isn't expected after the first month so you have my sympathies it hasn't gone so far quite how you planned. I feel like I lose more weight when I eat earlier in the day instead of later so I'm working on that myself also. I'm excited to try the new protein recommendations from y'all!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Hi everyone! I'm Sabrina, I'm 24 height 5'4 and I currently weigh 195 my goal weight is 105. I got my surgery dec. 21st 2013 starting out at 215 pounds so I've lost exactly 20 pounds in one month. I think I should have lost more it seems like most people do. How much weight have some of the other December members lost? One of the only issues I'm struggling with right now is protein. How are we supposed to get all that protein without sucking down a million calories? It seems like every drink has so few g's of protein but soo many calories. Has anyone found a good low calorie high protein drink? Or found Andy foods they are fond of that are high in protein low calorie?

    protein shakes

And btw you can start with the bullets almost right away because they're not very thick it's not a shake in the beginning I think that's perfect for you

    protein shakes

I'm very curious about this too. My doctor recommended whey protein and the protein bullets but all of the shakes are so high in calories and surprisingly low in protein. The protein bullets were the best for starting out in my opinion, 200 calories but a WHOPPING 42 g's of protein. Two in a day and you're set. However after you are allowed to start eating again that's just WAY too many calories in my opinion unless you cut out a meal and who wants to do that?? So if anyone can recommend a low calories high protein drink or shake PLEASE DO!
