Bariatric advantage chew bites
shirlann46 replied to Kelly827's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What flavor or flavors do the celebrate calcet creamy bites come in? They are definitely cheaper than the ba caramel chews I am taking. A word of caution, i was chewing my calcium this morning and it pulled a cap off my tooth. The cap has been on there for over 10 years tho. My dentist let me come in immediately to re-cement it thank goodness! -

I order my bariatric vitamins from their website. They are cheaper than in the docs office. I use the 500 mg also. I only haven to take 2 a day now. I have used some of the celebrate products and they are cheaper. Their caramel chews dont taste as good as BA tho. And i cant stand the taste of their chewable multivitamins. BA's aren,t delicous, but much better than celebrates. I only use their sublingual presently. They are ok. You can also get some BA from Amazon. Their chewables are more exspensive than BA's website. -

Have you tried the chewables in caramel flavor? I think they are delicious! Just like eating candy to me. I look forward to them everyday. I didn't care for the other flavors I tried. -

You look great! Keep up the good work! I understand about the losing slowly. I have 20 more to go and I am almost 8 months out. We can do this! -
I hope everyone is doing well. I am almost 8 months out and have lost 70#. I would like to lose 20 more pounds, but I have had so many stalls Im not sure I will meet my goal by the time I'm a year out. I am so thankful for the weight I have lost. I feel so much better and take very little medicine now. I still go to the gym 3 or 4 days a week and love it! I find I can eat a lot more than I could a few months ago. I track everything on My Fitness Pal and try to stay in the 900-1000 calorie range daily. I still do one or two protein shakes a day to keep my protein up. I usually have one for breakfast and one after I work out. Some people complain about the shakes, but I love them. I hope all of you will keep posting. I love hearing how you are doing. Have a blessed day!

Love the Dannon Light and Fit Greek yogurt. My nut suggested these to me. They come in so many favors. The coconut vanilla, key lime and plain vanilla would be good soon after surgery. All very good!

I am surprised so many of you take Flintstones vitamins. My surgeon says these don't have all the vitamins we need. Just goes to show that surgeons have different opinions. I take 2 chewable bariatric multivitamins a day. Sublingual B12, Iron, and 2 calcium chews which are caramel flavored and delicious. I plan to stick with the Bariatric Advantage until I'm a year out even though they are more expensive. I am 7 months out now. My blood work is always good. I hope all of you are doing well and continue to do so on this exciting journey! God bless!

The dreaded dumping syndrome!

So sorry you ladies have having problems. I too used Premier Protein that I get at SAMs. I don't like the vanilla flavor only the chocolate. It is not thick like protein powder, so maybe they will work for you. You could by the 4 pack at Walmart first to make sure you like them. I used Pure Protein ready mixed the first few weeks after surgery. I got them at walmart Light tasting and very easy. Some drugstores have these with 35 grams. LMy favorite Greek yogurt is Dannon Light and Fit. 12 grams of protein and not a lot of sugar or carbs. My nut recommended them to me. They have fruit flavor and vanilla. My favorite protein powder is Syntha 6 by Matrix. It tastes really good blended with almond milk and a little Sugar free instant pudding mix, and ice in my bullet. Syntrax nectar unflavored protein can be used to mix in drinks and food. Mixes very well. I hope some of this helps you. Good luck! -

I can definitely identify with you on the plateaus! I have had several in the past 3 months! Yes, it is very frustrating! I am down 69 pounds since my highest weight before surgery. I go to the gym 3 or 4 days a week and ride my stationary bike at home other days. I have 33 pounds to lose before I reach my goal weight. I know without surgery I never would have been able to do this on my own. I just wish I had done this years ago. I am 68 and feel better than I have in 30 years. We just have to keep on keeping on and the weight will come off eventually.

I was 67 when I had WLS last October. I did great and the only regret I have is not having it years ago. If you need any advice or help along the way, this is the place to come. I have learned a lot just by reading posts. I am here to help any way I can, message me anytime. God bless you on this awesome journey.
