    Getting sleeved tomorrow <3

I would check with your doctors office before taking a laxative. I was just asked to be on clear liquids and don't eat after 12 the night before.

    Getting sleeved tomorrow <3

I didn't have a 2 week pre-op diet either. I was told to be on a liquid diet the day before surgery. I found out that every doctor is different. My surgery went fine. I was sleeved on March 21st. Just follow your doctors instructions regarding what and when to eat. The worst part for me was the GAS PAINS. I was walking the same day of surgery. The gas set in on day two. All I can say is walk, walk, walk. At first I had problems drinking my liquids. It felt like broken glass and nails were in my stomach. I spoke with my doctor about this and he said I was taking in too much Fluid at one time. Once I changed my sips to smaller sips the discomfort was gone. This was a big learning curve for me. I really thought I was taking small enough sips. I'm not having any problems now. I wish you the best on your journey.

    WHAT TO PACK FOR SURGERY?

I just was sleeved on March 21st. There is not much that you will need. I packed my toothbrush, deodorant, toothpaste, phone, slippers, socks, gas-x, pajamas, and my I-Pad. I even brought my favorite Bath and BodyWorks lotion.

    March 2014 Sleevers

Yes. I'm a week today post op and I can't seem to sleep pass 3-4 hours. I'm tired today. I'm usually don't take naps, but I think I will today.

    Tomorrow!

I hope you feel better. My surgery is scheduled for this Friday, and I'm not looking forward to the first couple of days post op. Hang in there. Everyone says it gets better.

    Any Regrets?

Thanks everyone. Your words were very encouraging.

    Any Regrets?

My sleeve is scheduled for this Friday. I was wondering if anyone regrets having their surgery?

    What do I say?

Thanks for your advice. I decided to tell my mother and sister in-law. It has been a weight lifted off of my shoulders. I know that they would be hurt if I didn't let them know I was having surgery.
  10. Yes. It happened to. I received my approval letter in the mail and the doctors office didn't receive anything. I was able to fax over my letter and got scheduled for surgery.

    What do I say?

Let me start by saying that I'm a very private person. I have only told my husband, mom, and kids about my surgery. My sleeve date is on March 21st. For the last 6-8 months my mother in-law has been planning a big family vacation, which scheduled the week of surgery in Orlando. I don't plan on going because I don't want to use my time up at work. I may need to be out more than normal after surgery. Well everyone is excited and is asking me "are you ready to go" I tell them no, but I don't elaborate. What should u tell them? My husband and kids know. They are going to go, but my husband is leaving early to be with me for the surgery.
