I FINALLY have a date set for the Lap-Band Surgery. It's for 11/13/07. I met with Dr. Bunch on 10/25/07 and his entire staff are awesome. I was working with Dr. Bagan's office for over two years and one meeting with Dr. Bunch and my surgery is scheduled. God is so great. Beginning this Sat I have to start my 10 day liquid diet. I am excited and nervous. I have a really great support group at home, my DH and two DS's. They keep telling me that I can do it and my mother says to call her if I feel like I need to eat the arm off of the couch. :hungry: I will post how it goes and just how easy/hard it is. :faint:

Pam, There is no need to take it out. My last surgery I had my Aunt Flo and had a tampon in but was told to leave it in.

Wow how exciting! I am scheduled for mine on Nov 13 and will have to begin my pre-op diet beginning Nov 3rd. I'm so not looking forward to that part but I do know how important it is. Keep us posted on how you're doing...I will be following closely. :clap2:

I haven't had surgery yet - scheduled for Nov 13th, but my doc said it will be slightly to the right as well. I guess all surgeons don't put it in the same place.

My surgeon is requiring me to do a 10 day liquid fast beginning next Sat. I am NOT looking forward to it but he said he needs to shrink my liver before surgery.

I have BCBS of MI PPO - I've completed all of their requirements but I'm still waiting on a decision. The problem that I'm having is that I live in Florida so I can't get any info when I call customer service. Ugh..it's so frustrating. As long as you complete their requirements, there's no reason they should deny you.

You really should call and find out what their requirements are. They all differ. I don't think they can base a decision on how many surgeries you've already had, only your doctor can.
