Fullofitx3 got a reaction from Dr-Patient in Unbelievable ride
Just had my 6 month follow up with dr's and still cannot believe how this surgery has changed my life, I went from a high weight of around 285 to 169, size 40/42 pants to 32/33 and med/large shirts not only has my eating and workout habits changed but my outlook on life in general, I love being outside and being active, I enjoy wearing nicer brighter clothes that stand out, there's more of a bounce in my step.
I'm sorry if I sound like I'm gloating, but by no means was this an easy road to haul, I cut out the social lunches at work and hit the gym instead now a lot of the guys and girls I work with join me in the gym and tell me what an inspiration I am to them, I prepare meals in advance so that I had them on hand and can eat properly and make smarter snack choices, I've had the full support of my loving wife and children who keep me motivated. I feel like I'm riding on cloud 9.

Fullofitx3 got a reaction from motherof5 in Are you going to miss the person in the mirror
I lived my entire life as a big guy, being almost 7 months out I'm down to around 180 lbs and every time I look in the mirror or try on clothes I can't believe how far I come, I workout just about every day and enjoy it, I have a whole new outlook on life and changed my eating habits for the better.
Best of look to you and I wish you much success.

Fullofitx3 got a reaction from 7 Bites_Jen in The Smoothie and Protein Drink Debate
I think Protein Shakes / smoothies should be used to supplement, sometimes when your on the go a Protein Shake makes for a quick meal and prevents you from getting hungry and making bad food decisions or sometimes your craving something like ice cream and can whip up a smoothie like mike shake to satisfy that craving.

Fullofitx3 reacted to ProudGrammy in Let's create some awesomesauce!
@@Pookeyism
these are a few thing i can think of
not today, but...........
recently flew to GA to visit grand-kids
not only did i not have to wear the "ever popular" seat belt extender
i easily sat between 2 other people, no prob, with room to spare
there was so much room on each side of me
they must be making the seats wider
almost fell backwards in the seat at the movies
i wasn't expecting the seat to have "grown"
for the first time in "umteen" years i bought/ wore a beautiful one piece bathing suit
i am now "putting myself" out there in public and volunteering
i "bravely" walked down the street and met/greeedt/introduced myself to a new neighbor
went to a neighorhood/block party/barbecue
no longer have to deal with taking diabetes meds/insulin - CPAP - high blood pressure meds
my BIG, most important unexpected surprise
i now take half dosage of my epilepsy meds!!!
look at a full length mirror in Kohl's and not want to cry/die!!!
not feeling ashamed of myself in grocery store et al
thinking people looking at me thinking "oh my gosh look at her"
now anyone looks at me and says "hmmmm she is cute as a button!!"
I am much more confident!!
i weigh 130 lbs - down from my DOS weight of 235 lbs!!!
i am now one very "proudgrammy!!"
happy i am healthier
happy to be alive

Fullofitx3 got a reaction from BeagleLover in 12lbs in 5days
I don't weight myself regularly (last weight-in was a month ago at drs follow up) so not sure if I hit a stall or not, but noticed that clothes were fitting better and I was constantly updating my wardrobe, plus everyday I feel so much better about health and well being and have gained so much self confidence.
