My name is Dean and I am 54 almost 55 year old female. I have been overweight for over 30 years and have tried many diets and loss weight and gained it back each time. But the real reason I decided to have the surgery is so I can get a kidney transplant.

I was born with a disease cal polycystic kidney disease which caused my kidneys to fail 8 years ago. So I have been on dialysis for 8 years and 2 months. So I want a kidney transplant and the only way to get only list is to be at a certain weight requirement. I have tried over the years to loss on my own and I loss between 50-60lbs on my own but still need to lose another 90lbs. I don't want to waste any more trying to reach that goal.

I am only 8days out of surgery and just getting adjusted to the diet. My diet is also complicated by my renal diet requirements. I can drink the recommend amount of fluids. By the way I had the gastric sleeve.

I like to travel and being on dialysis restrict how and when I can travel so getting a transplant could give me a better quality of life.
