    First Fill Didn't Work!!!

I went in for my first fill exactly one week ago and it hasn't worked one bit!!! The doctor put in 1.5 cc's in my 4 cc band and I am eating just like I have all my life. Has anyone had this problem before? What did you do?!?!?!:help:

    Spinning class?

I've been trying a lot of different exercises and haven't really found anything that has shown me any kind of results yet. I really want to get my legs and butt in shape and thought that spin classes could help with that. Where have ya'll seen improvements in your bodies since you started spinning?
  6. Again, just keep sipping water. I know it can get crazy boring so try and sip different things.....ice tea with splenda, crystal light, juice cut with water, ect..... I was also really dehydrated after surgery and i had to FORCE myself to drink. Also, for the swelling....it'll go down on it's own, but I noticed that the more movement I did the faster it went down compared to some of my friends that got banded with me. Also, if you walk and exercise you'll want to drink more, so it helps on both ends. Good luck!

    New, scared, & stressed

Thanks everyone for all of your reassurance and help. I've been using all of ya'lls advice and it has been such a great help. I'm just trying to ignore all of the negativity that comes towards me from people and just embrace my decision. I'm starting to get really excited about my upcoming surgery with Dr Rumbaut and less scared. Again, thanks so much!
  8. Hi all, I'm pretty new here, and I just set up my surgery date to be banded on September 11th (I know, kinda scary day, but whatev). I'm extremely scared/nervous about this whole thing. I've been unable to keep off the excess weight that just piled on in college and honestly feel somewhat sad that I have to resort to a surgical procedure in order to get healthy again. I don't want to feel this way because I am really excited about it, but there are only several people in my life that support my choice and the rest just think I should hard core workout and diet. Did anyone else have this problem with the people in your life? How do you overcome it? For now, I'm just going to kinda look around here and read all of the positive things that people have posted and hope that they keep me focused on the good that is to come.

    I'm another newcomer..

Hey there Secret! I'm also brand new here and I totally understand about what you are saying about people in your life having mixed reviews. I'm 5'5 and am at 210 lbs. I'm getting banded in Sept, and I'm so nervous and excited. I just wanted to say good luck with everything and let me know how everything goes! ~ Miss V
  10. Hi everyone! I'm getting banded by Dr Rumbaut on Sept 11 and I'm extremely nervous and yet very excited. I was just hoping that some of you wonderful people could share with me your stories (good and bad) about your experience with this doctor. Thanks so much!!!! ~ Veronica
