Madelyne Bonthron reacted to soonerorlater in Nov 2013 Sleevers Progress So Far...
People say their a slow loser but to me I don't see it. If you had only lost 20 pounds in 6-7 weeks, Then yeah I would call that a slow loser! I have lost 35 pounds in 10 weeks and I still don't consider myself a "slow loser".

November 18th surgery down 47 pounds. I don't walk as often as I should but still 2 to 3 times per week. One thing I've noticed is that in the last week my old psychological food issues have started to peek out, wanting to eat when I'm not really hungry, wanting to eat larger portions than the 5 ounces I can currently fit.
I'm going to have to continue to work on my demons!

Hey everyone! Its quiet in here! Where is everyone from November? I am 9 weeks post op now and down 32 pounds. I am happy with my weight loss. I need ideas though of what everyone is eating. I was never good with putting healthy meals together. Any ideas are appreciated! And keep up with the updates good or bad! Were here to support each other!

I'm far from goal weight but I was sleeved 7 weeks ago and my starting weight was 255. I'm now 212.
I'm so pleased with my progress this far and I can't wait for more weight to come off.
I walk every day and eat good quality ingredients. And always my Protein first.
Getting my sleeve was the best decision of my life.

I'm bored so I'll play as well. First one was taken on 9/2/13 and I was probably about 390ish (surgery was 10/14/14 and I dropped 7-8 pounds before surgery date). Second one was taken 1/5/14 and am down just under 100 pounds from the date of the first picture (294). Goal is to drop another 60ish to get to 235 (I'm 6'4").
Was going to post one of me just wearing a tie but I think that's already been done....

Could it be your gall bladder? If you do gave one, it's been known for bariatric patients to have issues and may have to have it removed. Feel better and stay warm in this blizzard.

I wish I could say it gets better but....
I am 2,5 mos post op. Before surgery, food was my best friend (how sad!). Now that I can barely get in 600 cals a day, i had times where I felt like something was missing. And it was, no watching TV while stuffing my face to the point of exhaustion. No running (ok waddling) back and forth to the fridge. I plan my meals in the beginning of the week and it has freed up so much time, I now find time to exercise every morning. Even if its only 15 min....i spend time looking for healthy recipes.
What I am not doing is feeding my unhappiness. I dont plan any jaunts based on where we can eat, i dont spend alot of money on junk food or midnight raids.
I havent lost as much as I think I should have but its almost 50 lbs gone and I feel like a new person. I am more content with myself.
It took a while to get here. In the beginning stages I kind of felt lost, but now I am discovering a new me. You will too. Just keep on keeping on!!
Good luck

Hey I'm 3 months out from surgery down 56 pounds and lately I have been having bad lower abdominal cramping and nausea and vomiting and light headed and dizzy and I had a colonoscopy recently and it came back normal and I'm getting frustrated cause I have no clue what's causing it and I'm getting my Protein in and my fluids in and eating my small meals and I'm 28 yrs old and I don't think I should be having this many problems went to the ER twice and cat scans came back normal and blood work is normal also just a low vitiam d level and have been very tired any ideas

I would not call it a fad diet as much as an advance protocol for fat loss. Intermittent fasting has been around for some time. 5:2 is the latest iteration.

Madelyne Bonthron reacted to Jenny12 in 5:2
It is a fad diet which involves severe calorie restriction for two non-consecutive days a week and normal eating the other five days, which originated and became popular in the UK, and spread in Europe and to the USA. It is a form of intermittent fasting. Many people here swear by it. I'm not one of them, but to each their own. Hope that answers your question.

Madelyne Bonthron reacted to mokee in Another lb gone!
I have lost 93 lbs in the past 13 months sice the sleeve. Want to loose 15-20 more. It is very slow like 2 lbs a month but I will take it. I had to tell all my friends here about my 1 lb loss during the holidays. I am 67 yrs old and can not exercise. Just putting that in for any seniors on the fence about this surgery. It is one of the best things I have done for myself in my life. My health is better. I can do so many more things. I can eat anything I want just not a lot at a time. I do get hungry but it is satisfied with a few bites. Thank you all for rejoicing in my success.
