      I'm doing great! I have my 2 week follow up appointment Monday. I've lost 55 lbs since July 2014 and 20 lbs since surgery.

    Liquid diets are no joke. Work is ordering pizza today. I have my protein shake and will stay farrr away from the kitchen. #notemptations

      I'm on my 2-week pre-op liquid diet, and I'm afraid I haven't exactly stuck to it. Been average two shakes a day and then a healthy dinner, but by the third or fourth shake, I just can't even get it down! Hopefully with the healthy eating, I'll still lose. Good luck!

      Yes definitely Susan. Check with your doctor to make sure that is okay. The reason that my doctor wants me to be in liquids only is to shrink the liver so it's easier to get to the stomach. The liver lays on top of it so it may be harder to get to if its too big. Good luck!

    Surgery has been moved to 3/24. New Doctor. But, insurance approved it!

    Well, all clearances are in. Today is my final weigh in at the doctor's office. I might get a date today. I'm nervous and have the butterflies.

    Had my endoscopy today... Doctor said everything looks good. Tomorrow, I have the endocrinologist and then next week I have the nutritionist, pulmonologist, and cardiologist! Almost there!!

    Second Weigh in at the doctor: 352.0 pounds. A LOSS OF 10.5 pounds in one month!! :D One more weigh in will decide if Aetna will accept!

      It depends on which AETNA plan ... as far as I know, I just can't gain during the weigh ins.

    Had my first weigh in ... 362.5 pounds. This is my highest weight ever. I'm so stoked because over the next two months, I'm going to be on a healthy eating plan and starting to get some exercise in. I want and need this surgery. Nothing is going to stop me.

    I'm ready to re-visit the surgery. I don't think I can do this weight loss on my own. I've gained so much weight. :(

      You're not alone. My doctor talked to me about it in 2011 and I wasn't ready. After dieting on my own for a year and losing only 25 lbs. I was ready. After being banded a year ago, I've lost 115 lbs. so yes...this was the right thing for me to do.
