  2. I will be 4 months on Thursday. I'm so happy and I made this decision and I feel so much better. Congratulations to you!
  3. When you see your doctor ask what are the common plateau time frames. That really helped me deal with the mental side of it. According to my doctor its common to have halts in weight loss at 2-3 weeks, 6th-7th weeks, 12-14th weeks. I don't know if all have seen this pattern but it helped me to expect slow downs and know that it wasn't just me. Good luck in your journey. I am almost 4 months post op and I don't remember ever feeling this good. My only complaint is constipation but there are work around.

  8. @@foodfighter78 I'm so sorry you're having a hard time. What do you eat in an average day and maybe we can find what's causing the dumping syndrome.
  9. Your body is still adjusting. I'm 6 weeks out and I've lost 30 lbs so to me it seems right. Check with your doctor at your follow up and be prepared for less weight loss weeks 3 and 4.
  10. My doctor said that it is very normal to have minimal to no weight loss the 3rd and 4th week. It was very disheartening before I heard that and it caused me to play all sorts of head games. This is normal and keep following your dietary instructions. You will be ok.

  12. I buy the Popsicle brand sugar free popsicles. I have found them at Walmart, Kroger and Food Lion.
  13. Thanks. I am sending a request now!

  15. The thing that helped me the most was thinking that I wanted to do everything in my power to have the easiest surgery and assist in recovery. Whenever I was tempted to have something I shouldn't I would ask myself - is this worth the possible complications? I hope this helps you. Hang in there!
  16. @@Kai13 I have the same funny feeling in the left size. I'm glad I'm not the only one! I had my pre op appointment today and I've been cleared for physical activity! I'm so glad. I was able to eat 1 ounce of my first meal and I'm looking forward to drinking something soon. I'm glad you are doing so well.

  22. @@sportsmama13 I haven't reached the protein goal yet but I'm almost there. I'm getting about 48 oz in a day and the goal is 48-64 oz so that's pretty good. My pain level has been really low. I'm only using 1 pain pill a day. I feel really fortunate. I'm excited for you! I'll mark 4/9 on my calendar so I can check on you.
  23. I'm drinking 1oz every 15 minutes. I set a timer on my phone and I'm doing ok with it. I'm drinking water, broth and protein shakes supplemented with sugar free jello and sugar free Popsicles. I hope it gets easier for you!
  24. I'm supposed to have 1 oz of fluid every 15 minutes during waking hours with a goal of 48-64 oz a day. They really want me to get 60-70 g of protein a day but water is soooooo good right now! I hadn't had a BM either and the surgeons nurse recommended Dulcolax. It actually made me get extremely hot and pass out. Thank God my husband heard me call him because he got there in time to keep me from falling to the floor. If you have to take a laxative please be careful @@GraceysMommy09

  26. @@Kai13 how are you feeling 4 days out? Still vomiting? @@sportsmama13 your date is coming up. How do you feel?
  27. I'm doing pretty well. I was released Tuesday afternoon and today I haven't needed any pain medicine. I'm working on the fluid intake but I haven't made it to 64 ounces in a day. I get about 48. I also had hernia repair and that feels so much better!
