    I had to do a 4 month medically supervised weight loss program. I did: December 2014, January 2015, February 2015 and March 2015. It goes by quick especially while you have to get all the other prerequisites done.

      I'm doing great! I have my 2 week follow up appointment Monday. I've lost 55 lbs since July 2014 and 20 lbs since surgery.

      I'm on my 2-week pre-op liquid diet, and I'm afraid I haven't exactly stuck to it. Been average two shakes a day and then a healthy dinner, but by the third or fourth shake, I just can't even get it down! Hopefully with the healthy eating, I'll still lose. Good luck!

      Yes definitely Susan. Check with your doctor to make sure that is okay. The reason that my doctor wants me to be in liquids only is to shrink the liver so it's easier to get to the stomach. The liver lays on top of it so it may be harder to get to if its too big. Good luck!

This is what I had to do: Mandatory for All Patients Cardiac Clearance Pulmonary Clearance Mental Health Clearance Dietary Evaluation sleep Study Endoscopy Endocrine Consult Required Insurance Required 2 Year Weight History (Required for all Aetna Patients) 4 month weight loss program Required by Surgeon CPAP titration results Endocrine Labs Only Required (TSH, HgbA1C) Gallbladder Ultrasound Required If you have any questions, please reach out to me. I'm in the process myself... this is what I have to do: Cardiologist Clearance Pulmonary Clearance Endocrinologist Clearance Psych Clearance See a nutritionist sleep Study 2 year weight history 4 month supervised weight loss I'm almost there... I have the nutritionist tonight, the cardio and pulmonary appt on Saturday. I also have to re-do my sleep study because they need to get Sleep Titration results. Hoping to get my sleee in March!!     Had my endoscopy today... Doctor said everything looks good. Tomorrow, I have the endocrinologist and then next week I have the nutritionist, pulmonologist, and cardiologist! Almost there!!

    Second Weigh in at the doctor: 352.0 pounds. A LOSS OF 10.5 pounds in one month!! :D One more weigh in will decide if Aetna will accept!

    Had my first weigh in ... 362.5 pounds. This is my highest weight ever. I'm so stoked because over the next two months, I'm going to be on a healthy eating plan and starting to get some exercise in. I want and need this surgery. Nothing is going to stop me.
