    Does anybody eat bread?

im no veteran but have been able to tolerate small amounts of bread the problem is small amounts of bread seem to expand once combined with stomach juices so I have not been able to eat more than 1 slice of toast with an egg. just remember protein first carbs if there is room.

    Quitting Smoking

I also had to quit it is a rough road man for the first week or so but after that I only got triggered to want to smoke when others would go outside or getting in the car. I did it cold turkey, it sucked, butt I feel far better now than before. I quit 6 months before surgery so Im almost 9 months clear. good luck.

    Pain?

it will be a life changing experience for you man, you and I are close I was 6'2" 354. Had my surgery on the 4th of December, still fighting the trials and tribulations of learning this new lifestyle so im not sure how much help I can be. I will say follow the pre op diet stuff close and find some good protein options long before so it is not so difficult after. good luck.

    Catheter?

I also had the same fear just got out of surgery 6 days ago myself. on my initial surgery I did not have to have a catheter due to it only being a 1 and a half hour surgery. However I had to go back under the knife for an additional 4 hours due to complications and I woke up with the little gift you mentioned above. didn't much enjoy it myself but it was bearable. they put it in while I was under so all I can tell you is my experience with the removal. not fun. good luck I bet u wont need one.

6 days post op feeling blue

Hello everyone my name is JD and I am 6 days out of surgery. had some complications in surgery due to a reaction to the blood thinners so I had to go back in for an additional 4 hours. Im feeling much better and haven't had a lot of nausea issues yet. Im a 28 year old male, father of 1 and 1 on the way, and 3 great stepchildren. Ive always considered myself a tough guy (Don't cry often) but here in the last few days I have been ridiculously emotional is this normal? I guess I am still in the what the heck did I do faze, but I have been working for this for a long while. Any words of wisdom for a newbie, I admit it im scared.
