    1 month post op scare

Weirdly enough, this is kind of reassuring to me. . .I'm also about one month out and have been wonderingly (jokingly!) if I actually had the surgery too, because I haven't felt any pain, haven't had trouble swallowing or ANYTHING! Was worried maybe the surgery didn't "take." Glad to know that I am not alone, there. In all seriousness, I can't imagine how terrifying that must have been for you. I'm glad you're okay now, though! And thanks for sharing this - I will remember not to get too comfortable in thinking that my pouch is healed.
  2. SUCH a motivation! You look so much younger and happier. Amazing. Congratulations!
  3. So I'm almost one month post-op and I'm sitting here reading all these posts about people losing their hair and it's making me pretty sad. After many years of bad nutrition, my own hair has just started growing back in healthier and thicker which is something I was thrilled about because I've had to deal with thin, sad hair for a long time. Now, to hear that I may be losing all my progress (on my hair, at least) is more than a little disappointing. I KNOW it's ultimately a small price to pay for my health, but my hair is still so thin that it's sounding like I might go bald. Did any of you wear wigs or extensions, or did it ever get that bad? Or does this ALWAYS happen to everyone? I would like some reassuring information, but I understand if I don't get it, haha.
  4. So I was at the grocery store today, and came across this unflavored Protein powder for $11. I grabbed it without thinking, because all the other ones I'd seen were twice that expensive. And it SOUNDED good - 24g of protein, no carbs, 110 calories, some Vitamins added in, so I'm thinking maybe I found a powder that would work for me to stir into Soups and whatnot. But then on the back, I read that it says it's "not intended for weight loss." Does anyone know why this would be? This is the first time I've bought Protein Powder (I had my surgery three weeks ago), so do they all say that as some sort of catch-all warning? I'm looking at the ingredients and I really can't figure out why it wouldn't be suitable for bariatric patients, so I didn't know if maybe anyone here who had experience with this could clue me in. I know it's a blend of Proteins, if that makes a difference - soy, milk, whey, and dried egg albumen which sounds super duper delicious. Anyway, thanks for reading!
