  1. YAY YAY YAY!!!! My husband and I are TTC, I too am trying to find information on Vitamins. This is what I have been told by my surgeon.... Take prenatal vitamins with additional calcium, stop taking the bariatric vitamins until you give birth, then go back on the bariatric vitamins. I will be talking to my OBGYN, to confirm this. I was affaird that I would OD on vitamins and wanted to make sure that I would be getting what I need and of course waht the baby will need. Looking forward to hearing others peoples thoughts and comments....
  2. Time has gone by so fast, you look great!
  3. Hi everyone, So I was sleeved 15 days ago, I love to have a cup or two of coffee in the morning but since I have been sleeved. FORGET IT! Gross is all I have to say. I think my tastebuds have changed, its not that it hurts my tummy, its my tastebuds. I like coffee, plain and black. But I just find it tastes gross to me now. Anyone else find this, is there any other food that you use to eat but just cant stand the taste of since being sleeved? Oh well, I guess I will trade it for tea....good thing I also LOVE tea.

How important is your goal weight for you?

For me its more of a size then a weight. I would like to get down to size 8/10. If thats at 200lbs great, if thats at 150lbs that even better.

    FitBit?

I have one love it, mine is one my hip. I think it is called fitbit one. Anyways a lady in my office has both the force and the one I have, as she didn't know which one to buy. Is sits at a desk and does a lot of computer work. She has given up on the force because it was 10-15% more steps in a day. Because of wirst movement. She now uses the hip one only.
  10. They taste great but for me I don't think I will continue, the carbs and sugars are high
  11. Wow, I don't mean to be rude, but your doctors sound like pill pushers. Maybe do some research and find a doctor that can review what you are taking and try to get off some of them. That can't be healthy in anyway to take that many. I friend of mine was on so many pills, that she ended up taking pills for pills she was taking. She went and got a 'second opinion' she went from 15 medications upwards of 50 pills a day to 3 medications and 6 pills, because the new doctor put her on the right stuff. Worth a try.....

    beyond furious with Humana

Sorry, I'm paying for my surgery out of pocket. What does EOB mean? My husband and I are both getting sleeved, im a revision and our combined total is less than $20,000
  13. So I have what looks like a battle ground for a belly. I have had the lap band surgery (5yrs ago) and had my gallbladder removed (4yrs ago), needless to say I have a belly full of scars. Some of which you can still see and some are so faded I can hardly see them any more. Now, I am three weeks out from getting sleeved, I know they will put more holes in me, but will they use the same incision location or will I get new ones? Im thinking I will get new ones because I dont think scared skin will heal again. People that have had both surgeries or just one of the ones I mentioned, are the scars longer or the same for the sleeving surgery? Calling all guru's...!
  14. Has anyone had a upper arm lift, do you have any photos to share? What do your scars look like? Just dreaming of the day when I have lost so much weight that I will have to have surgery to remove the extra skin.....no more living life in a fat suit, lol

    My 600 pound life

I was so mad at her. I had to keep reminding myself that she is sick in the head, she need to see a psychologist. She was completely in another world. And to lie to a nutritionist in front of her son, just proves that point.

  20. Incredible how rude, abusive, negative, degrading, mean people can be and he's so blanton about. I think he will be gone to on the update as well.
  21. I really felt bad for Zsalynn, her husband was wicked, her story was on last week. I hope they do a follow up to her story soon.

    Shoe size changed?

Yes I went from 10.5/11 wide to 9.5 reg, during my first weight loss. I think once I have the sleeve surgery and get down to my goal, whatever that might be (for me it s feeling not a number) I think my shoe size will be about a 9. That's a big change and of course shoes in that size start to get cuter! Fun non scale victories!

    returning to work and nervous

I like your screen name... Lol The gym can be anything, take the stairs at work, use a door frame to stretch while your at work. Maybe get a yoga ball to sit on instead of an office chair, great for your abs. Take a big jar or can and fill it full of dried Beans and use it as a dumb bell at your desk. There are ways to get exercise in without going to a gym. On the days you can go, go but days you can't make an extra effort to do something at work. Maybe Park your car a block further away at work or park in the back of the parking lot. Try to walk to the door a little faster then the day before. Working out doesn't have to be at the boring gym.
