  1. Im a vegetarian and my nut encouraged me being a vegetarian!!! There's a lot of other ways you can get protein in not eating meat!! She also told me that people are often forced to become vegetarians post op because they cannot tolerate meat. There's no way in hell I'm eating meat lol pre op, post op, no op lol no meat!
  2. UTI

Okay so I have a uti and started antibiotics today and am drinking lots of fluids.. However I have an important dinner in 2 1/2 hours and I can't stray farm from my bathroom. Does anyone have a temporary relief solution to kill this urge for like an hour!?
  3. I haven't even had surgery yet but have lost 40lbs and my ring doesn't fit anymore. I was recently engaged in October and I want to wait and just have it resized once at the end of my journey. But I am so sad that I didn't get to wear it long.
  4. I second that, keep your body guessing.
  5. Mine is pretty similar, the one shake a day and that's only til we move to the last eating stage. Then my dr wants all protein to come from whole foods and not shakes.
  6. >.> <.< -.-
  7. I like the "I can't believe it's not butter" light with olive oil.
  8. Slap myself for being ignorant? I'm not the one on the internet prescribing medication for people I have never met. So doc what do you prescribe for a defiant child? Some Benadryl? Make em take a nap? :rolls eyes:
  9. I agree, I'd probably slap the ish out of someone who said that to me. Especially someone who hasn't even met said person and is a complete stranger to me!
  10. I believe in the art of manifestation.
  11. It's only temporary.
  12. Pre op RnY: HW 343 CW 303 -40lbs :-) woohoo
  13. They say women gain from the bottom up and lose from the top down! Lol
  14. I liked the Premier Protein. My dr and nut don't give a lot of advice on protein supplements, they said after the liquid stage they don't want us to supplement but to get our protein from whole foods. Seems hard to do.
  15. My nutritionist and hair dresser told me it was because of the lack of carbs in my diet. She called it "carb flu." Who knows.. I've heard so many different stories. A lot more things factor in than just our diets.
  16. I tried this because of the lower calories and I think it is absolutely gross. I tried the strawberry cheesecake one and it had no flavor a tasted like artificial sweetener. My dog wouldn't even eat it lol. Zoi is my all time favorite but I do like chobani as well.
  17. Hell ya you're ready! You are gonna rock!
  18. This has worked wonders for me. I have bad insomnia and it also saved my life trying to fall asleep with that stupid Cpap machine!
  19. Oh boy, I started my journey December 24, 2012!!! My insurance required a year supervised, weight management classes, and a once a month weigh in! Also the normal dietician and social worker appointments and group sessions. I finally got approved in January and now my meeting with my surgeon is on February 24th, I'll get my surgery date at that meeting. By the time I have surgery it will be 15-16 months since I started the process til my surgery and at first I was frustrated with the lengthy process but now I am so thankful for it. I have learned so much attending the classes and they really prepare us on how to use our new tools. I am starting to get very emotional and stressing about everything now that I know it's getting closer. I'm losing my patients again and just want it to be over with so I can stop worrying about it and live! It may not seem like it now but it will be here before we know it! And I look at it like hey, it gives me that much more time to lose weight before surgery and that's like money in the bank! goodluck and keep on keepin on it will be here before you know it.
  20. Wait so everyone's not crazy until they poop out their staples?
  21. I cut 7 inches off my hair and dyed it... I'm pre op but it was the beginning of a new chapter and new lifestyle for me. It helped me see the new person in the mirror that I was becoming on the inside. I had already created a new lifestyle and was mindful of my eating and began exercising every day three months prior, so changing my look even in the slightest just helped me evolve that much more into who I want to become.
