How about some NSVs!?!?
Today is my weigh in day... I stayed the same this week. The NSV part for me was I didn't freak out, or think I'm a failure or that my weight loss is over. I simply looked at the scale and told myself I will see a drop next week. Now that was a victory for me.

anyone regret having WLS?
I think you've answered your own questions. Clearly this isn't the right choice for you and I personally applaud you for doing a deeper dive into what is right for you. I don't have any regrets as I believe the surgery saved my life and has provided me a tool I can work with. With that said, it isn't for everyone and being as in tune with your body as you seem is great. Follow whatever path that works for you.

June Post Ops!
working for mayo clinic I have to travel to rochester Minnesota several times a year. I was supposed to be there last week and am so glad the trip got canceled because friends of mine told me about the minus zero temps. I think I would have died from cold. I was there in january last year and it was 4 degrees one day and I couldnt breath it was so cold. I'll take my 50s in florida. Lol

June Post Ops!
I just got done eating dinner and got down 3.5 ounces of pork, two bites of potato. That was a lot for me! I am typically between 800 and 900 calories a day, 75 to 80 grams protein, 70 to 100 grams carbs and 20 grams fat. My nut is happy with all of it but wants my carbs at 100 grams. I am just still full after getting my protein in most days. I log all ny food and find it helps on days like today when my volume felt high for dinner. How about you?

June Post Ops!
So tonight when I got home I started to cook dinner. I live in florida so we grill a lot. It is a bit chilly tonight (63 degrees). So I went to my drawer and pulled out my old favorite sweats. The pants fell off. I told my hubby I think the elastic grew in the drawer. Lol.... True story. P.s. I need new sweats for when it gets fridgid in the 50s.

Differing goals
Don't let anyone tell you where you should be weight wise. You decide when you are satisfied then work on maintaining that. I am honestly not sure why people think it is ok to tell a former fat person what they should weigh? I am starting to get that now too (even at 162) and it boggles my mind. I would never presume to tell someone they are too fat so why would I say yoy are getting too skinny? It is our bodies, we have to live in them and so it is about your confort zone. Don't make yourself crazy about a number on a scale iit doesn't define you.

Stuck - bypass vs. band
Oh and it is the same "stuck" for me.

Stuck - bypass vs. band
I am a band to bypass conversion and can say the stuck feeling is the same. With the band it happened every day with almost all food for me. Since bypass it has happened twice in 7 months. Both times from chicken and eating too fast.

June Post Ops!
Wow!!! Congratulations RJ!!! I am so happy for you. Now if I could bust out of the 160s and into the 150s I'd be happy. Lol

June Post Ops!
I had that happen at christmas. I was getting catalogues from lands end thinking the clothes looked big to me. Lo and behold it was their plus sized catalogue. It was a good feeling realizing that won't work anymore.

Why do people say Revision patients lose slower
My band experience was horrible too. Today was my six month visit after my conversion from band to rny. I am 65 lbs down from my surgery weight and feel fantastic. I told my dr today I eat better now than I did for the five years with the band. My labs were perfect and I feel like my goal is achievable. Am I a slow loser compared to peers? You bet. Was it worth it? Unequivocally!! It was the best decision because I don't play games with my food anymore or lie to myself that it is normal to not be able to swallow anything until 3 in the afternoon. I was a mess indeed. I am hoping to get another 20 to 40 lbs off by my 1 year anniversary on june 12th.

June Post Ops!
I had my six month follow up today. My dr was really pleased with my progress and said I am doing great. It really re energized me to keep pushing and get to goal. He said I could lose another 20 lbs but I still want to try for 40. Secretly id be thrilled with 20 because that would be low 140s. Everything else went great. Yay!!!
