bearman99 got a reaction from erp in no to my liquid protein
Well, there is liquid in it. It is mostly Water. Therefore, the NUT is an idiot. But this is only my opinion. While I do not love Isopure it is a liquid and it is Protein. For some it is a lifesaver to get the protein and the liquid in one. Seems to me the NUT has some odd agenda, like a lot of NUT's do.

Try this experiment.
Take your salad and put it into a blender. Add 4 oz of Water and blend. Pour this into a measuring cup. Whatever is over the 4 oz mark is what your salad has been reduced to.
Salad has always been one of those things I can eat a good portion of because it does reduce well, whereas the dense Protein is pretty much already reduced to whatever it is going to be.

bearman99 got a reaction from HHHappy in Carb intake
The thing is if you eat 2-4 oz Protein first and then some veggies the carb count is likely to take care of itself.
Are you asking to find out how many you can "get away with?"
Follow the rules, drink the liquids, it only hurts you if you scheme to push the bounds of the rules.
That said, under 70g carbs per day will put most people into ketosis which will help reduce hunger. As a diabetic I need to stay under 30g if at all possible to keep things tight and my hunger under control.

No.
Follow the rules for 2 years exactly and then you tell us. Maybe we can report this together 1 year and 10 months from now. Stay the course. Follow the rules. Don't overthink it.

bearman99 got a reaction from 1Day1Life4Now in Never thought id say this.. HOW DO I SLOW DOWN OR STOP WEIGHT LOSS?
Add a Protein shake with fruits in it. The added carbs and Protein should help. Also, lift weights and do less aerobic exercise.
I'd suggest one variable per month and seeing the change over those 3-4 weeks, adjust every month on variable until you are where you want to be. What a wonderful WL tool you have to be able to have this "problem"

bearman99 got a reaction from Recycled in Should I be concerned about calories this early?
Not a bad non-scientific why calories in/calories out might be flawed but a decent read on the topic.

Freeky takeaways...
Exercise may stimulate appetite and cause us to eat more.
Fat people are super good at storing fat (duh, right).
What if a hormone imbalance is the real culprit?
Why is it that malnourished kids still grow?

The only reason I track everything is to diagnose if I run into issues. Up to you though. If you can allow yourself an 8 week stall without going batshit crazy I wouldn't bother tracking. me however, well, umm, me batshit crazy when I stop losing for an extended length of time.

As McButterpants says, You can only control what goes in your mouth - your body does the rest at its own pace. Keep working your sleeve, and following the plan, and it will happen. You got this!

bearman99 got a reaction from Jdub in When did you stop losing?
You could try exercising less instead of eating more.
There are a great many reasons to exercise, weight loss might not be one of them.
-
bearman99 reacted to Jdub in When did you stop losing?
How intense is the exercising? Maybe you need to up your calories a little in case your in too much of a deficit (ie - starvation mode). I found that If I went to the gym 5+ days a week that my weight loss slowed compared to going every other day while on 800-1000 calories a day. I've found that this is what works for me.

bearman99 got a reaction from irockedthe80s in What are you NOT doing (but supposed to)?
Not enough exercise. I do drink Green Tea. Other than that I have been real good on the food intake and fluids end.
24lbs lost preop - not much exercise
26lbs lost 1 month post op - not much exercise
I have accepted another position so my commute per day is cut down by 80 minutes total. I believe I now have no excuse to not exercise at least a little bit daily.

You lashing out..............no never......not you...lol
You are so right when you said the mental/emotional part is the hardest....I really believe that you are in good shape if you recognize that it will never be a walk in the park....
We have been in a war for so long our guard is up and we are waiting for any attack...Set backs, self sabotage, cravings, what ifs, self image and so on...
We are so much better off though because we have started to see ourselves for who we are and who we can be...We are learning to eat healthier, be healthier, play healthier and live healthier. It won't come so easy for us because of the addictions and past struggles with food.....
One day at a time...One week at a time...One month at a time....One year at a time....
We will never have the privilege to relax about this new life....Our tool depends on it! but it will get easier so I am told!!
Waiting, waiting...no it won't...My newest thing is I can eat more then I used to and now I have to figure out the difference of being full to just satisfied....Dam it is always a learning curve.............
I am so proud of you young lady.....Keep kicking its ass eh!!!!!!!!!!

bearman99 reacted to scarlet333 in WTH are some people thinking disregarding post-op diet rules?
They are also not thinking about the fact that their staple line and stomach are healing and even if they think they "feel" fine and that they didn't puke so it was ok for them to eat. The fear of bursting my stomach staples kept me totally on track.
