    Protein Shakes!

I like the GNC Lean shake Protein shakes. They have a variety of flavors and it comes in ready to drink and powder form. I use the ready to drink kind. Most GNC stores will let you taste test them in the store. Even though the premade ones can be consumed warm, I prefer them cold. GNC also has a lot of chewable Vitamins & supplements available. I use the Women's Mega Multivitamin, the Calcium & I just started taking the Vitamin D because my levels were low. Good luck & I hope this helps!

    Protein Shakes!

I've used GNC Lean shakes since I had my surgery on Oct 29th, 2013. They come in a variety of flavors, have low sugar and most GNC stores let you taste them before you buy. My favorites are the chocolate and strawberry. They have limited flavors every now and again and over the holidays, the pumpkin spice was a nice change. My doctor approved these shakes and it comes in ready to drink and powder forms. I just use the ready to drink ones and buy them by the case; if you are a GNC member you get a discount and they usually have buy one get one 50% off. They also have lots of chewable Vitamins and supplements in tasty flavors. Hope this helps and good luck!

    October 2013 Sleevers Roll call!

I was stalled at 266 for about 2 months; then all of a sudden I dropped to 254. Not sure what I did differently! LOL Watching my intake, excersizing and trying to do everything right. So close to the 100 lb mark just can't seem to get there. Still a long way to go but happy I've gotten as far as I have.

    October 2013 Sleevers Roll call!

Congrats TxCalico! I had mine done on Oct 29th and had my latest checkup last week. I was pleasantly surprised at my 60lb weight loss. I've had terrible problems with my knees and general fatigue but I can already feel the difference even though I still have a ways to go. I'm not allowed red meat, bread or Pasta until the end of April, but I don't miss it at all. It took me a long time to decide to have the sleeve done and an entire year to prepare and qualify for it; but I"ll have to say it's the best thing I ever could have done as everything I tried beforehand simply did not work at all. I'd like to be around awhile longer for my kids and grandkids! Congrats to all sleevers; continued success and better health for everyone!

    October 2013 Sleevers Roll call!

Hi All, Just had my 5 week post op check up and was down another 10 lbs. Yay! Still on a pureed menu until Christmas Eve then on to regular foods. The 30 before/after no drinking fluids rule is making it a bit difficult to get in all my liquids; but I'm doing my best to keep hydrated properly. Other than that things are going pretty well. Good luck to everyone!

  11. I'm three weeks and two days post-op and I'm still on a full liquid diet and will be until four weeks out. My doc is REALLY conservative! I'm not even so sure I'll be doing pureed food after four weeks; guess I'll find out Friday when I go for my second follow up. I've been using GNC Lean Protein shakes since they meet my doctors requirements, are very easy to take with you and they taste good. They have a limited edition pumpkin Spice flavor that is actually really good. My GNC lets you taste flavors before you buy them (pre-mixed ones) and still allows you to return stuff later if it doesn't work out for you. I've also been using MyBariatricPantry cream of chicken soup for a little change every now and then. It has 20 grams of protein per pack. I've even had some V-8 juice and tolerated it very well. I'm sipping two sometimes three different liquids at a time all through the day so I'm a bit concerned that when the time comes to start pureed foods that I'll trip myself up with the liquids. The dreaded 30-30 rule! I'm looking forward to this journey and all the advice this forum provides. Thanks for letting me ride along.
