  1. I feel your pain...I haven't asked my doctor what size band I have because I know it will just stress me out. I have 6.5cc and I really thought the last fill would "be the one"....but alas it wasn't...I'm so afraid I will have 10cc and still no restriction...I just don't know what I would do...I've experienced that if it's "good" for me, then I feel some restriction, but if it's bad, seems I can eat and eat and eat;....I try my best to stay away from things I shouldn't eat for this very reason....not always successful, but I sure try...I guess I should be thankful that I CAN stay away from those "unhealthy" things now because in the past I had no will power to stay away from those things...guessing I should be thankful for the new will power Also, I can't wait till May 23rd to get the gel put back in my knee so I can start walking again....I'm so done with the pain and ready to get on with my life..can't help but think if I were able to walk/exercise the weight might come off quicker than it is with just dieting.... Not sure how long you HAVE to wait...but my doctor has me come in once a month...wish it could be sooner, especially when you know theres no restriction... My Dr tells me there is no limit as to how many or how often I can get a fill. Banded Sept 30th, had my first fill Nov 1st and I've had at least 10 fills since then. Last week I had a fill and is at 10cc in my 10cc band. I'm having no restriction at all. I have in the past gotten a little restriction a week or two after I've had it. I'm so discouraged. How much more will they be able to put in my 10cc band.

  3. The tip for me was the online walking videos...she said she worked two jobs and didn't have time to join a gym so she went to youtube and did the walking videos.....check them out they are pretty cool... What's the tip??? Share share
  4. Great Job...and thanks for the walking video tip....I'm watching it now and think it's something I can do at work while on my lunch break...
  5. My first fill, I received 4.5 ccs...I have had two since then and am now at 6.5 ccs (1cc each visit)....as frustrating as it would be to go so slow, I worry about what happens when I get close or even reach 10cc's (this is assuming I have a 10cc band, I'm afraid to ask..lol). what happens if I still don't feel very much restriction. I was banded in January and have lost 35lbs....I'm worried and scared that WHAT IF I'm one that it doesn't work on...???
  6. That's is awesome. Can you share a daily menu with us...you know, what you eat in a day???
  7. Repeat this: IT IS GOING TO GET BETTER!!!!!! You just need to hang in there....better to go slow than end up where you were any day.......Good luck and keep coming back here when you need encouragement or want to share good news...we are all cheering for you!!!
  8. what did they disconnect you from? You can still post in the forum...what is it you cant do now?
  9. My first fill I received 4.5....the second one, he stopped at adding 1 cc (for a total of 5.5)....he fills as I drink Water (not sure what that's showing him, but I'm supposed to stop him when I feel "full" or when I'm slowing down or when I 'burp'....this hadn't happened when he got the 1 cc in there - but he stopped anyway...which was good because for about a week or so afterwards I was really restricted and could barely drink coffee in the morning...but I'm guessing that was due to swelling cause after about a week it stopped doing that...so looking forward to tomorrow's fill...
  10. Congrats. How much total do you have in your band? I'm on my 2nd fill, go for another next week...hoping to feel quiet a bit more restriction with this one...I'm ready to get this show on the road..lol
  11. Evidently "slider" food is not what I was thinking slider food was...lol
  12. I too suffer the "first bite" stuck feeling quiet often...thanks for the tip Parisshel...
  13. Once again, can someone tell me what "slider foods" consist of?
  14. Good luck and come back and share any good tidbits of info the nutritionist gives you....
  15. SandyM, have you ever seen the plate your surgeon gave you, online? I googled the plates one time and would love to have one because I suck at "visualizing"...lol But would like to know for sure that what I'm ordering is really what I'm supposed to use...
  16. that's what I have in mine and feel little to no restriction....but I try my very best to control my portions and though i'm eating way less than I did before the band, the weight isn't coming off and waiting on the green zone is trying my patience...lol
  17. OMG Countrysweet you just took the words out of my mouth..."I have this overwhelming fear that I'm going to be hungry again in just a few hours so I eat more"...that's what I find myself doing over and over.....and I know I have to stop the madness....
  18. May I ask how many CC's you have in your band?
  19. I've read on here how it can take 6 months or longer before you hit the green zone (aka sweet spot)....I was not aware that this was the case when I had the surgery...that weight loss didn't begin immediately....but no matter how aggrevated I get, I'm sure it's coming I just need to be patient... Do you feel any restriction when eating or have any episodes of things getting stuck?
  20. I'm right there with you in the frustrated thing. I've had two fills, for a total of 5.5cc..I'm watching what I eat and do not eat ANYWHERE near what I ate before being banded, and I'm not losing ONE SINGLE pound....I'm getting so frustrated that I could scream...and I'm hungry... and I want chocolate and I may just cry.....LOL Sorry I had to get that off my chest... I'm sorry you are frustrated...have you had any fills? When did you get banded?
  21. Im not on liquids but you are making me hungry...lol I'm gonna remember this for my next fill...and the 24 hour liquids afterwards...
  22. ok, dumb question coming....what is ribs broth? lol
  23. No one can possibly understand the pain of a miscarriage, until they've had one....I, like you, suffered two miscarriages....both at 12 weeks.....and you do need time to heal....take that time for yourself and if weight loss is part of that time, then give it your all. You can be healthy AND have your precious baby. Welcome and good luck!!!!!
  24. May I ask what kind of patch you have? I want an all over body one...lol No seriously if I can find something else that works as good as Celebrex and not have to worry about messing with my band I'd switch in a heart beat... It's quite possible. My doctor and team told me no nsaids as well and I suffer with osteoarthritis and I've been banded over three years and haven't been on my meds ever since. I just use my Patches and they prescribed a cream for me to use, plus my braces.
  25. WELCOME!!!!
