Cleared :)
Congrats on your upcoming surgery!! the pre op diet is a huge pain, but you can do it! we will be here to support you

Lying about the surgery at work.... Please help!
I think the hernia or gallbladder excuses are the best ones. no need to explain the subsequent weight loss. no one will connect the dots.

Breast lift only - how long should I wait?
I agree with mariamitani. Wait til you stabilize on your weight loss, or are done having babies.

so everybody pretty much starts eating norm...
I started introducing "normal" foods at 4 weeks.

knee surgery before sleeve?
I had 2 miniscus repairs and finally a total knee replacement (TKR) 3 years ago. At time of surgery i weighed 220. by the time i was sleeved 5 months ago i weighed 254. The rehab from the TKR was long and awful. since being sleeved i am down to 192 and my knee feels great! I am active and feeling great! Wish i would have gotten sleeved before the knee surgery.

2months post op....down 42lbs! What are you eating?
At 2 months out i was gradually introducing new foods into my diet. i never had any problems except with chicken (feels like a brick in my chest.). i avoid bread and pasta. take it slow and easy and pretty soon you'll be able to enjoy small amounts of just about anything. good luck!

A whale of a tale...
Good luck with your journey. it will be worth it. the sleeve is a wonderful tool. i think this site has a wealth of info that will help you along the way, as well as some really great people that dont mind answering any questions.

Yuk! Stretch Marks
Great job on the weight loss! sorry about the stretch marks. i have heard that it is hereditary and not much you can do about it. thankfully they will fade over time.

Pre op
yes, the pre op diet is a drag. but it helps to shrink your liver so the surgeon has an easier time. You can do it!

I read it in the patient handout that I got when the IUD was placed. Maybe check their website? Best of luck!

Best friends lift us up, not "weigh" us down LOL

New to the Sleeve, but not new to WLS
Congrats on your journey! i just want to say that i dont think they can get away with firing you from your job, due to the FMLA (family medical leave act). Bad employer!

Zits!
I also had trouble with this during the first month post op. Could it be that time of the month? are you getting in all your fluids? maybe its all the protein shakes. All the toxins moving out of your system? i dont know for sure. just keep your face clean and it will get better soon.
