  2. i think i was eating about that amount at 3 weeks. and i would eat that amount 4-5 times a day. No worries. sounds normal to me
  3. Congrats on your upcoming surgery!! the pre op diet is a huge pain, but you can do it! we will be here to support you
  4. I think the hernia or gallbladder excuses are the best ones. no need to explain the subsequent weight loss. no one will connect the dots.
  5. I agree with mariamitani. Wait til you stabilize on your weight loss, or are done having babies.
  6. I started introducing "normal" foods at 4 weeks.
  7. New Clothes!! a mani/pedi. a nap. an afternoon with a good book. Treat yourself whenever possible!
  8. I had 2 miniscus repairs and finally a total knee replacement (TKR) 3 years ago. At time of surgery i weighed 220. by the time i was sleeved 5 months ago i weighed 254. The rehab from the TKR was long and awful. since being sleeved i am down to 192 and my knee feels great! I am active and feeling great! Wish i would have gotten sleeved before the knee surgery.
  9. This is my favorite toast for a bridal shower: Roses are red, Violets are blue, this is my marital advice for you: Swallow
  10. I was at soft foods from weeks 3-4
  11. At 2 months out i was gradually introducing new foods into my diet. i never had any problems except with chicken (feels like a brick in my chest.). i avoid bread and pasta. take it slow and easy and pretty soon you'll be able to enjoy small amounts of just about anything. good luck!
  12. Good luck with your journey. it will be worth it. the sleeve is a wonderful tool. i think this site has a wealth of info that will help you along the way, as well as some really great people that dont mind answering any questions.
  13. Great job on the weight loss! sorry about the stretch marks. i have heard that it is hereditary and not much you can do about it. thankfully they will fade over time.
  14. You klook great! I can totally see a difference. looking forward to seeing your full pics! Keep up the good work!
  15. yes, the pre op diet is a drag. but it helps to shrink your liver so the surgeon has an easier time. You can do it!
  16. I read it in the patient handout that I got when the IUD was placed. Maybe check their website? Best of luck!
  17. Flirting_ one of my favorite NSVs. glad you had fun!
  18. i have the mirena IUD and do not plan on having more kids. however, according to the literature, return to fertility should occur with the next menstrual cycle. Good luck!!
  19. 5 months out. rocking a pair of size 14 shorts and a large top to a BBQ and feeling confident! what a difference from a size 22 and 2X!!
  20. I am 4/20 friendly and have been since one week post op. helped with the nausea, too. (Save me from the lectures too, please)
  21. Best friends lift us up, not "weigh" us down LOL
  22. Congrats on your journey! i just want to say that i dont think they can get away with firing you from your job, due to the FMLA (family medical leave act). Bad employer!
  23. I also had trouble with this during the first month post op. Could it be that time of the month? are you getting in all your fluids? maybe its all the protein shakes. All the toxins moving out of your system? i dont know for sure. just keep your face clean and it will get better soon.
