  1. I still have chicken and beef broth sitting in my cabinet, along with sugar free Jello, pudding, and a huge bag of unflavored Protein powder. Buy only enough for the first three days, since you'll only be drinking and eating popcicles anyway. Do all the laundry, clean the house, and raise up anything you need to lift on a regular basis, since you don't need to do any heavy lifting. I bought a bed pillow (the kind that prop you up) to prevent me from lying down in bed, it helps with the gas bubbles and acid reflux. I have an app on my phone called Water your body. it reminds me to drink water (and keeps a log) of how much water I'm consuming throughout the day. At four weeks out, it's too the point that I'm already drinking water when the app sends me an alert. GL!

Over 3 weeks and still on purée.

I can't handle the protein shakes anymore, but the best tasting Isopures IMO are Apple Melon and Pineapple Orange Banana. Sometimes I mix them with my Crystal Light to break up drinking the same flavor all day.
  3. Sabredy12, Thanks for this post. I'm right there with you, I'm a single parent to a beautiful 20 month old girl and my surgery is scheduled for Dec 26th. I'm terrified out of my mind... BUT, I know, just like having her, that this is the BEST thing for BOTH of us. I made a list of all the reasons that I'm tired of being fat, and all of the reason I want to do this.. and on the top of both lists are my quality of life for myself... and my daughter. Similar to labor and delivery, I just keep telling myself, everything will be ok. We will be fine. We will not die. We will be happy, successful at this, and will tell our story to future nervous pre-op folks.
