AquariusDiva got a reaction from Babbs in When Can I Start Eating Bread?
I started having a small bite here or there of bread at about 6 weeks. But it landed very heavy in the tummy - about half a slice of bread or a couple of bits of thin pizza are about all I can handle.
Also, this first year is critical. Most of the weight should come off during this time. So dont waste it by having bread and jam unless its a special treat.

I think its the beef. I love steak and have had it. But it does sit heavier in my tummy than other things.
Ohh, as for the UTI, I got one the week right after surgery. Ugh! Make sure you keep your Water up (I know its hard). But I have also started taking cranberry pills - don't do cranberry pills from natures bounty (which is what I have). THose pills are huge! Also up your yogourt. I try to eat yogourt for lunch. I also use greek yogourt for chicken salad instead of mayo.< /p>

I was sleeved on 3/16, but I am no help, I'm feeling the same way. So at least I'm not alone in feeling like I'm failing since I still want and dream of food.< /p>

I'm a week out today, fairly good. Although I crash for a nap everyday. I have been having thin Soups, Protein Shakes and Isopure drinks to make my Protein goals each day. However, I will say getting in all the Water is tough. Also, I don't know about you guys but I'm hungry!!! My belly even seems to do the hunger rumble once in a while. It's doing it right now- I'm sipping more water to quell the feeling.

AquariusDiva got a reaction from alwaysvegas in Pain after surgery?
So far, my sleeve is almost just as painful as my c-section. Which wasn't too bad. Right now -24 hrs post op, I'm on some sort of Tylenol via the IV, but I'm sitting up and walking with just some pain rolling off bed.
My neighbor though is knocked out on pain medication since she is in lots of pain (lots of groans just moving in bed and whinny cries when she has to get up).
    So everyone is different.

AquariusDiva got a reaction from KatieD6982 in ???? Calling all March Sleevers....let's support each other!????
March 16th is my new date. I started this process in dec 2013. After a long 6 month supervised diet and all- my insurances at the time UHC, denied it. My doctor appealed it and won. But it was towards the end of the year, so I wasn't able to schedule it. Then the new insurance denied me bc they felt the WLS surgeon, NUT, and psychologist stuff was too old ... So then I had to redo all of those.
After all is said and done, with two insurance denials and two won appeals/resubmission. I'm slated for March.

UHC is the insurance I had last year, did everything, submitted and was denied. The doctors office appealed it and was approved. But bc of timing and new insurance, here I am a year layer - jumping through hoops. I will say that I have learned much from this site during that time.

The only person that knows is my husband. I will not be telling any other family members or coworkers. They just would not get it and I don't want to hear it. My sister or mother have never had a weight problem and I am pretty sure I know they would not understand.

Something similar to mine. I have approval from my current insurance that came through last week after the six month diet, and a denial and appeal. but doc was off for the last two weeks of December and come January we will have a new insurance . So I will have to wait and see if the approval transfers.

Tentatively scheduled for the 12th. I got approved by my current insurance toward the end of dec. but come January we have a new insurance. So here is hoping that the approval gets transferred easily enough.
