  7. Ok so here's mine lol 10. I would like to fit into normal size towels, pretty much only beach towels wrap all the way around 9. Wear nice panties and not have them roll under my stomach and constantly have to pull them up! 8. Walk into whatever nice store and shop in the regular side with all the nice clothes and feel good wearing them. 7. Walk confidently with my husband without worrying if ppl are thinking why is such a handsome man with that fat girl! 6. Not be the fat mom that picks up my child from school! 5. Having people take pictures of me and try to suck it in or lift my neck up so I don't look like a whale and have to tell them delete or never put on social media. 4. Wear a nice bathing suit, hopefully a semi 2 piece ( hey a girl can dream) and finally not feel so insecure at beaches or pools. 3. Feel secure that not everyone is staring at my stomach when I'm sitting down or walking down the street. 2. Ride bikes and be active. Rock climbing, horseback riding and of course ride my husband like a wild bull without breathing so hard and being tired lol. 1. Just feel beautiful in everything I do without feeling judged and walk with total confidence!!!
  8. Ok so I'm scheduled for surgery on June 23rd and am very excited and nervous also, one of my worries are that what if when I lose the weight my husband won't be attracted to me, now I've always been a big girl and he knew that of-course when he met me although I did put on 60lbs during the relationship but I still wonder if maybe the weight loss won't look good on me because I've always known myself to be big. I know my husband loves me for me and my personality and big heart but I still just wonder...... Does anyone else have this feelings? Please let me know!
  9. The colors represent a previvor where basically it runs in my family and I have chance of getting breast cancer but am declaring I'm a pre survivor

  14. Since November I've been on this journey doing everything I needed to, ran into some complications with my health that delayed my surgery but now finally got a surgery date for June 23rd! And I'm excited and nervous at the same time but also relieved that the day is finally coming! Now all I need to do is sign consent and go to a pre op appt. meet with anesthesiologist and I'm good to go! Wish me luck friends!
  15. Yea it is all crazy and can be discouraging at times, but hopefully everything works out for you before September, I'm hoping at least before august for me, I'm scared also not so much for surgery but of the change it's a big change and I'm hoping I cope well with it! Keep me posted on your process I'm here if you need someone to talk to, or have any questions!
  16. Hey Christy, yes they did get back to me and I'm already done with everything but I'm having some issues with my liver so I need a ct scan, so after I'm done with that I can call aj to finally get an appt set to see dr. Choi again phew! How is your process going??? Are you with dr. Choi?
  17. Hello, my names Amanda and I started this journey back in November of 2013 at montifiore hospital in the Bronx, ny with dr. Choi as my surgeon... I'm still in the process even though I've finished with all my appt's monti just seems to keep stringing me along, I'm so not satisfied with them and how they run things there because I'm pretty much just waiting for call backs after I've made numerous attempts to contact them about my process. To them I'm probably just another fat girl waiting in line and I don't feel like there was any connection as a Rny patient. As you can see my patience and tolerance with them is not at it's best! Has anyone gone through something similar???? Please let me know so I can have some hope atleast!
  18. Haven't been on here in a while just with life and all, I've pretty much completed everything except going for another endoscopy to see if my H. Pylori was cured and then I can finally sit down with someone to plan this date out.... I'm really crossing my fingers here! Been doing this since October and after all the running around I am more anxious than ever to get this over with and start my new life!
  19. Wow I am so sorry to hear about your niece, my condolences to you and your family! I don't blame you for smoking again, I would have to! I wish you all the strength you need to get through this rough time! I'm here if u need someone to talk to! Take care of yourself girl!
  20. Wow I'm right there with you except I haven't even got my package to make any appts yet! Good luck keep us posted!
  21. Congrats girl! We did it yay!!!! Do you know when you having surgery yet?
  22. It's hard I know I smoked for 11 yrs Newport 100s and felt like i could never stop (when I made this post lol) but now I been smoke free since December 1st.! Sometimes I weep when I want to smoke lol but I ignore the craving. All thanks to using zyban! Girl you can do it. Just make sure u can be mentally ready because it is a roller-coaster of emotions!!! If urine shows in your blood try saying your on the patch which has nicotine In it' good luck girl!
  23. My goal for this year is go eat more fruits and vegetable along with eating better, I've already quit smoking so my weight is something I want to concentrate on, hopefully next year that won't be on my list! & also work on my patience lol
  24. Yea I have to admit my choices have not been all good, I love to snack and especially that I quit smoking I can say my appetite has gotten a little bigger, but I am trying to work on it! I just hated that guilty feeling... I'm glad I'm not the only one wit these feelings so I can feel normal again!
  25. Every single time I eat I have these guilty feelings like every bite is going to harm me in every way now, crazy because before I would eat without a care but now it's just I feel so disgusted with eating any thing really unless it's completely healthy... Does anyone else have these feelings before surgery???
