Like a symbol of some sort to support your journey??? I was thinking of making one or looking one up after my surgery... How about y'all?

I'm 27 and live in Bronx nyc and I'm hoping for February... Looking for new friends and support throughout my journey and maybe even lifetime friends who knows... Don't be afraid to add me or message me!

Bronx here... Going to montefiore hospital for surgery.... Pre op hoping for a February date the latest!

I have 7 tattoos, a tribal symbol on the lower back (tramp stamp) that I got when I was 16, then I got a leo symbol on the collar bone when I was 18 then I got "worthy of love" across my chest when I was 21... After that I got a friendship symbol on my inner ankle then I got the names "Michael" and "Anaya" on each shoulder and last I have a breast cancer ribbon saying "live" on my forearm

Yea I feel like that also, everyone is not going to agree with what we are doing and we don't need that type of negativity around us on our journey! Tell whoever when you feel ready to!

Good luck girl! Don't listen to the nurse, talk it over with your surgeon and call your insurance talk to someone who can help!

So I'm having my first appointment with the surgeon on Tuesday November 12 and I am so excited. I met her at the seminar and she was just beautiful and was so understanding and very knowledgable on explaining how everything went, she made sure we were well informed! I'm just ecstatic and getting the process going and seeing what are my options and things I must do until the big day!!!!! ????????????

Omg it was great! So informative and they were extremely friendly and understanding... First time I've ever felt somewhat comfortable in a big room! The surgeon and dietitians were so great and very supportive! Just what I needed! I'm calling to schedule my appt with her in a lil while! Thanks so much hun, I hope all is well with you!

I am so glad you are feeling better now, I appreciate you taking the time to reply to my post! I know what you mean about the pain... Right now I can barely walk from my lower back pain, my doc called me today saying I have high triglycerides so I dont know if that's something rny can help with also... I'm in New York and know a few ppl who have had rny but they aren't too helpful. So I figured I join a forum for help! Thanks for your info and best of luck to you with continuing on your journey!

Hi! Peoples I am interested in getting bypass surgery, I've already spoke with my primary care doctor, she's sending my referral to a surgeon and I've set up an appointment for a seminar on the 7th of November. I'm basically just asking what's the process and all, if you can spare any advice that would be appreciated! Thanks!
