Good Luck on your surgery! I'm 6 weeks, 1 day out and feel TERRRRRRIFIC!! I've lost 26 lbs since surgery and am down 2 dress sizes, very exciting. The first 2 weeks are hard but once you start on soft food, and you see the weight coming down you will be happy happy! Stay positive and more importantly -- WALK WALK WALK after surgery! I can't stress it enough. It helps with gas and it gets you ready to feel like your old self again. :)
