Kathy, No way you look 40!! You look like a kid. I see a very pretty lady here. And I am not lying. Man... it is so good to put a face with the name. Someday I will see if I can figure out how to post a digital photo of me too.
  4. Good Luck tomorrow. You'll be surprised at how fast it is all over with. Let us know how it sent when you feel up to it.
  5. Weren't you just banded on April 20th? Wow are you supposed to be eating steak yet? Just curious?
  6. The Surgery Center of Richardson has a fill center in it and I believe they are $150. I haven't had a fill yet though. You could call to confirm that price.
  7. Try sugar free popsicles. They are mostly water and are easier to get down for some reason. I can't believe you are already back at work!
  8. Productive Belching. Luckliy I have not had the experience since I am not on solid food yet. It eating something or shouldn't have or not chewing your feed well enough and having to give it back...if you know what I mean :sick
  9. I have been experiencing this kind of cramping almost since I got home from my surgery. I seems to go away when I walk. I don't think it has to do with the bowels because I have not had a problem going to the bathroom. Has your pain passed or are you still experiencing it? How long did it last if not?
  10. Best wishes and congrats on your upcoming surgery. I hope it goes very well for you. We will still listen to your whining and complaining and we will understand what you are feeling as fellow bandsters.
  11. Hi Natalie, glad to have you on LBT. This site is such a great source of information and support. I think you have made a great decision in deciding to get the lap-band.
  12. You're building muscle and it weighs more than fat. You are doing all the right things!
  13. Trish, I am so glad your surgery went well! Tell me about the gas girl, whew....I had my surgery the day before you and I think it is finally getting better! Just be sure to walk cuz that will make you feel so much better.
  14. I'm sorry you were denied. That really does suck! I hope it all works out for you in the long run.
  15. My husband Larry and I both banded this past week would be interested. We live in the Dallas area. Angie

My BMI is 30 and my insurance paid. I have UHC and I have the family conditions like you do. I was banded on April 27th.
  17. Welcome Angel2! I had my surgery this past Wednesday and I am feeling pretty good. This is a great place to get questions answered and lots of info. Everyone is very supportative! Good luck with your surgery.
  18. I had the surgery on Wednesday and started passing gas on Thursday and man was I glad. I went to the surgery center with my husband yesterday and I was there for several hours and never passed gas. I have been taking a ton of anti-gas medicine and I have found that the mylecon drops that you give to babies actually makes the gas pass. I do not have nearly as much today as I have in the previous days. I haven't learned to burp yet. I wish I could. I try but just swallow air and makes it worse.
  19. Yeah Trish!!! Glad everything went well. My prayers are with you.:cheeky
  20. Hey Trooper, I had surgery yesterday too. I felt great yesterday until I laid down for bed. I walked a lot yesterday and I am making my self walk today even though it is much more difficult. The doc gave me lortab and I have had 3 doses so far. I works well. Call them back and ask for it. Another thing that has helped me with the pain is using an ice pack and a support pillow. I have a squish pillow and it works really well as a support pillow. I have a lot of gas pain. I am taking liquid anti-gas medicine. I hope this will help you. Angie
  21. Really? My Post op diet plan say I can eat yogert, sugar-free pudding, applesauce, warm soup or broth, and baby food. It says that is day 1-14. I ate a little applesauce and feel okay so far. Maybe it will just take it easy and stay on the clear liquids. I am feeling really tired and think I might need to lay down for a while. Thanks for letting me know about the applesauce. Hopefully it won't come back up. Still have a huge amount of gas. I can hear it in my abdomen.
  22. I had my surgery yesterday. It went very well and I really didn't feel all that sore until I laid down for bed. I got a really bad gas pain and took some anti-gas liquid and it seemed to help. I haven't experienced the shoulder pain yet...when does that come? The main pain I have is where the port is installed. It is VERY SORE! How long does this pain last? Does it get better tomorrow? I haven't tried to eat yet, but I'm going to try some applesauce today. I am glad it is over for me and Larry will have his surgery tomorrow. Thanks to all of you for your support and for answering all my questions. I am focusing on walking. I heard that help the gas to subside. Mamadiggs, how are you feeling today? Congrats on your surgery. The good news is....I lost 7 lbs on the pre-op diet!!! Yippee!
  23. I'll say a prayer for you!. IT'S ONLY 10 HOURS FOR ME! Have a safe trip! It will all be worth it.
  24. I'll say a prayer for you. I am getting my band in the morning. We can talk about our experience together. Good Luck and I hope you have a speedy recovery!:banana
