  1. Wow, she is really sick. She sounds like my sister in-law. We had to cut all ties with her, she just tried to make everyone miserable. We are grown people and do not have to be treated that way. You must refuse to be treated like that as you better yourself. I am not having this surgery just to lose weight, but hopefully to live longer and have a higher quality of life. I won't stand for any emotional bullying. I'll kick ass and take names because I'm fighting for my life. You deserve credit for taking the bold step of getting the help you need. That is strength not weakness. Best of luck in your physical and emotional struggle.
  2. I am seeing Dr. Dempsey who works out of Temple and Jeannes Hospital. They are very thorough and seem very experienced and competent.
  3. Hi, I'm from Bensalem and I am seeing Dr. Dempsey at Jeannes Hospital. I finish my testing 05/15, and need the psych eval and a date.
  4. I have the same issue but only with my children, ages 22,19,9, they are scared of the surgery. I want to be around for them and involved in thier lives. Right now I suffer from chronic pain and spend most of my time in bed. I've gained over 100 lbs. since I injured my back 6 years ago. I tried exercise but the pain is too much to bear. My wife, thank God, is supporting me.
  5. Thanks Val, good stuff
  6. Ms Vicki You Keep Going !! When I Was Growing Up Until I Was A Young Adult, I Was Always Teased That I Was Fat. Even In The Military When I Was 194 Lbs., They Would Call Me Fat. Well Guess What, I'm 47 And 350lbs, Now I Am Fat. Those Viscous Comments Carve Deep Into The Psyche. Now I Am Preparing For Lapband Surgery. When I Look Back At Pictures Of Myself I Wonder How I Could Be So Naive. Best Of Luck
  7. I Started The Pre-op Preparations And Test, Then My Kids Started Freaking Out With Worry. They Want Me To Try The Gym One More Time, Any Suggestions? P.s. Last Time I Went To The Gym For One Year And Went From 330 To 315 Lb.s. But I Had Awesome Bloodwork And Felt Good, But Didn't Look Good.
