You Mississippi girls are doing FABULOUS. lol good job. I'm from Madison County, just north of Jackson. I am tentatively scheduled for Feb. 11 th but that date may have to be changed. I hope not but I just don't know how my insurance is going to play out. I can't wait till I'm post op and on the losing side of this battle. I was never given any restrictions on coffee. I'd kiss goodbye to all carbonated drinks - 9 months since I had any and except on the hottest of days I don't miss them at all now. Super cold Water and low cal iced tea or cordial do the trick.

I'm just proud to announce I haven't had coffee or Diet Coke since I started my pre-op diet, and I don't really crave them. I never would've thought I could just quit both of them cold turkey!

Thanks, Laura. If it was a constant pain or if I had a fever I'd be more worried, I guess. But I dread when I feel a sneeze comin on!! lol

Umm... about the third week mark a lot of us get pains from the internal stitches healing and pulling. It sounds like this may be what you are going through.. It hurts more with bending and twisting. Mine lasted a little over a week once it started hurting.
If it gets worse though put a call into the doc!

My rant/rave: when haters say "you know you still gotta work out to lose weight, right?" I want to tell them to mind their business. Didnt ask your opinion anyway, ol nosy ass. lol and I just had surgery 6 days ago! lol

No offense taken, but I'm not a vet, I'm a newbie. Do I qualify as an asshole if I don't enable bad behavior? I qualify myself as a bitch sometimes, but I'm curious if I've crossed the line into the A-hole territory!

I cant wait to see my oldest child's father. He described me once as fat. I wasnt even that fat back then. So to hell with him. I cant wait to priss in front of him knowing I would never stoop that low again!!! Eat your heart out ! )

No offense to most veterans on here, but sometimes we newbies would like to converse amongst ourselves. Which is primarily why I go to the forums marked BEGINNERS. Most people on this site are very helpful but some are just plain ol assholes. lol

...is there anyone you're eager to see envying all the progress you make post-op? I know, I know, it's petty and one of the Seven Deadly Sins, but I have to admit there are a few people who I'll enjoy watching, as they turn a lovely shade of green when I reach my goal. I skipped my 25th high school reunion this year, because I wasn't happy with the way I looked; and I didn't want to put on a brave face in front of the catty girls from my teen years--but when the 30th rolls around, it's going to be a different story. I'll be there, with bells on, baby! I'm also in the midst of a divorce after 20+ years; by Christmas, not only will I be shedding my own ugly fat, but I'll be automatically 270 lbs. lighter without my ex, too. It's going to be nice, gradually unzipping the fat suit that I've wrapped myself up in over the last two decades, stepping out of that jiggly mess and moving ON! That's going to be my "living well revenge"...how about you?

lol yeah, if someone did that to me, I'd be feeling pretty patronised, too.
People don't mean to come across like that - to be fair - and most of the time.
It comes from a 'good place'.. (bit like the 'happy place' )
Try not to let it get to you. I always find bashing my head repeatedly on my keyboard often helps with the temporary 'OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!' moments.

Very good point. Plus the weight really has nothing to do with it. Anyone could have plowed their girlfriends head through a wall at any weight. These things happen! LOL

Find something you like to do. Take baby steps, and stop beating yourself up. Trust me, that won't help.

you can lose w/o exercise...just go slower is all......and if you dont want to exercise, def make sure you do not take in more calories than you can burn off.......BUT if you do exercise (heck when i started i was only able to march in place for 3 minutes--true story).....imagine how much you could lose.....and i am not talking scale numbers....those go up and down all day long.......i am talking inches lost.....losing inches by exercising is a strong motivation to get up and do it.......even if you dont want too..
