  1. 5 lbs to get to -100, 6 to be under 200. These few pounds are taking FOREVER, lol.

you are sooo close to those #lbs - you have come a long way!!! "God Grant Me Patience, Just Hurry Up About It!" LOL

take your measurements, even if you are not loosing weight, your inches might be dropping

      good luck - kathy

That's hilarious! I think I am, I'm getting into stuff I couldn't before - but once I'm under 200 pounds I can skydive without an extra charge. REALLY want to do that!

  2. Just heard a horror story from a coworker about a friend who ate so much she "burst her stomach and it couldn't be fixed" a year after surgery. I call BS, but a little part of me wonders if it can happen!

      BigGirlPanties

burst her stomach?!?! doubtful, highly doubtful...

Right! I can't imagine anything worse than hurling that far out.

  3. Wanna hear something funny? Put in earbuds, turn the music off, and listen to your sleeve digest lunch. There's some crazy stuff happening in there, lol.

LOL!!! Know what you mean! I don't need earbuds to hear my tummy noises :) They're loud enough for others to hear, too. Keeps the day interesting. My hubby just gives me a funny look when the noises start right after supper. During the day, I'm usually the only one at work who has the pleasure of hearing my tummy noises.

I nibbled lettuce on Friday, but I'm technically not clear until NEXT Friday. I'm itching for it, lol.

  5. Here's hoping for a night without riots. I still love you, Baltimore, but this sucks.

  6. Is jerky cooked or just dried? I want to try it, but my brain thinks it's raw meat and I just can't.

    1. katladee

      katladee

I believe the drying process in the heat actually cooks it so to speak.

I just read my package of Oberto All Natural Teriyaki Beef Jerky, it says "minimaly processed" . They can't sell raw meat in a package like that, it has to be edible right out of the package, so its not "raw meat ." It really good, high in protein, a good portable snack. I also like Oberto Turkey Jerky, taste very mild, you might start with that one !

  7. I don't know what the heck I ate that wasn't right, but this is the worst gas I've had since surgery almost 10 months ago. Feel like I should tie my ankle to the chair so I don't float off, lol.

    1. Mini_me007

      Mini_me007

Oh, no!! Love your attitude about it, though. LOL! Here's hoping you're better soon!

  8. Logging a visit to the salad bar in MFP is a pain in the butt.

    1. ShrinkingPeach

      ShrinkingPeach

Agreed, anything with lots of components is a pain. In the end it will be worth it!

    2. LisaLouBop

      LisaLouBop

Yes, but you can make it into a meal on MFP and just enter the meal the next time. I typically eat the same thing from most salad bars I go to.

  9. I'm an idiot. I need to stop watching surgery videos online. They're making me all panicky.

    1. Kpar909956

      Kpar909956

I watched the video before and felt much better once I saw it. I Watched the sleeve video. I was very nervous to the point of getting my will in order. Everything will be fine. there is such a low risk compared to other surgeries. You will be on the road to recovery real soon. Hang in there

Thank you! I think it's the part where they shove the instruments through that bothers me, lol.

Thanks! Turns out it's just "girly time" - maybe I lost weight and my body just hasn't figured it out yet :D

  12. Just realized my "skinny jeans" look like I'm wearing a loaded diaper. I can't complain about stuff getting too big! :)

  14. OMG, *really* sleevezilla? Plain chicken, carrots, and cucumbers have been FINE for lunch all week. Today? She's projectile rejecting them.

YES! What an accomplishment! Keep it up!

  17. Hearing all the suggestions about taking PPI's as a post-op because acid feels like hunger makes me wonder if trying it as a pre-op would help.

    1. endless80

      endless80

I have to take one every day because if I don't I get bad reflux. Just an over the counter Prilosec works fine.

  18. When I was a teenager, I worked for an ice cream store. They used to make us weigh our scoops at least once per shift since our portions tend to "creep" as the day goes on. I've noticed the same thing with my meals now - the scale and the measuring cups are my friends!

    1. MrsSugarbabe

      MrsSugarbabe

Yes, I would say my portions have been creeping some. Thanks for the reminder :)

  19. Stalled for a couple of months, but people are commenting on body changes and I got into a smaller size the other day. My jeans are all getting too big. So weird the way our bodies work!

  20. "Passed" the psych eval last night!

  21. Christmas potluck at work tomorrow. I'm on purees, so this isn't going to be much fun. I'm making meatballs, but there will be sooo much food.

    1. Jordan861

      Jordan861

Eat soup/puree before the party. You will be full and not want anything.... You have this....

  22. 13 days...yeah, I"m probably going to do this every day. Sorry :)

  23. Having some trouble balancing intake with increased exercise - feel like I'm either getting too much food or having dizzy spells with exercise.

  24. Mini goal reached! Next goal in 7 pounds.

  25. Is it the surgery making my hair fall out, or trying to fix my damn credit? I feel like the "We're going OFF THE GRID" guy from the pizza commercial.
