    4 month pics - 50 lbs

I wish I did before pictures!!! You look amazing! I've got to scrounge through same old pics to find a comparable before pic. I stayed far away from the camera before!

5 Weeks Out, How Many Calories

Very reassuring! I see so many different #'s out there, ranging from 400-900. I was on the high end and I'm in a plateau right now so I didn't know if the increased calories were stalling the weight loss. Thanks everyone! I feel better.
  3. So I'm 5 weeks out and I feel that my calories are on the high side. What is everyone else at? I've lost 36 lbs so far and I'm at 600-800 calories per day. I eat 2oz. of food every two hours. I guess I just want to know if I'm on tract.

    Milk of magnesia?

Thanks everyone! I did take the milk of magnesia, wild cherry! It wasn't too bad but nothing I want to get use to! I've been on solids for a little bit now but still no relieve. I've been so concentrated on the protein that I've ignored everything else. I guess I need to branch out! I'll try adding more fiber stuff and the raisins sound amazing. I've always loved them.

    Regrets

I was soooooo there! I had my sleeve done on sept 30 and I regretted every minute of it! I craved everything! But I promise you it gets better. I've lost 36 lbs and I went through a week plateau where I lost nothing. Now I'm back to my old self. I'm actually happier now! I'm eating 2 oz of food every two hours. And I'll admit it I've even had pizza! Not much but it took the craving away. Hang in there! It will get better!!!

    Milk of magnesia?

Holy constipation! I haven't been able to go on my own since surgery. I've used stool softeners and laxatives. Laxatives are the only thing that works but I don't want to get dependent on them. Both the softeners and laxatives say don't use for more than a week. Someone suggested milk of magnesia but I've never had it. I broke down and bought some but the same thing, "don't use for more than a week". Does anyone have any suggestions? Diet options? I want to limit the number of medications that I have to take.
  7. I feel your pain! I felt no restrictions either at the first stages and I'm now on solid foods. I still find myself over eating sometimes. The guilt is horrible! Just yesterday I had too much and I'm now afraid to get on the scale! But I agree with the above posts...measure everything and only eat that! At my stage my doctor has recommended 2oz every 2 hours (2x2). It works for me and lets my mind know that in just two short hours I can eat again. My surgery was on sept 30 and I've lost 36 lbs so far. So I'm happy and getting use to my new eating style.
