  3. Haven't stepped on the scale all week! Love not knowing and relying on how clothes fit.

I only weigh in once a week, and I sometimes just forget, but normally monday morning is my weigh in day? I gives me something to look forward to, big or small loss? I love any loss, as long as it's not a gain, I am good!!! lol

I weigh in regularly just to keep me somewhat on track but use the Friday weight in as the final word for the week. I love the fact that my clothes sometimes tell a different story then the scale.

  4. I keep it real simple as a somewhat minimalist. Jay Robbs whey chocolate Protein, mixed with cocoa powder, soy-lactose free milk, and stevia and about 8-10 cubes of ice. Blend and voila~

    Iced coffee

I have been enjoying iced coffee soy latte with sugar free carmel flavoring. Very low calories. I am in HEAVEN! I just don't know if I can do without my coffee. I tried and just didn't feel right to me. (2.5 monts post op.)
  6. Had the slimies yesterday and today. Seems like nothing is going down right or having heartburn that won't quit. Let's see, what did I eat that 'baby' doesn't like?

I have a band but this works for us. drink warm or hot tea. I do this whenever I have the slimes or feel stuck for a long period of time.

Some people will tell you to drink hot water or tea when that happens, but how because I don't want another thing in my mouth when I get it.

  7. I was very athletic as a kid and teen, with a small waist, long shapely legs and lean muscle mass. Never skinny but very toned and tight. I remember being 165 lbs in 12th grade and when I had my first child, I gained 65 lbs but lost down to 185. Thinking I was fat at 21. I never felt small after that in a size 16. WOW! It wasn't until I had my second child at 37 that I began to pick up weight. Things just kinda changed with age and metabolism. I think it was also moving from a warm weather state to a cold weather state as well that did it for me. I can't say having two kids at a later age did it because I only gained 20-25 lbs with each. It was a life and territory change that did it for me.
  8. I GOT A JOB through October!!! Yeah, He truly loves me. Thank you Jesus!

  9. Don't worry about it and enjoy the inches that's coming off. When the scale doesn't move, the inches will and vice-versa. Congrats on your weight loss!

    Are we?

I am 2.5 Months out and I started eating Skinny Pop Popcorn about two weeks ago. I chew it up really good and no problems. It's my pacify go-to food.
  11. Memorial Day weekend wasn't fun and this one will not be either. I, again, must wait until Monday to find out if my employer has funds to contract me through October. This would give me time to a) look for a longer contract, or B) apply to a new position that's coming up. Mentally wanting to gorge! Need to shut down...

This too shall pass.. Don't give up your health, your self esteem because of your job. I understand where you are coming from.. But giving into food will only make your situation work. It will work out,

Thanks Carlotta, I am learning how to cope through adversity with my sleeve. It has been a hard lesson because I want so badly to hide my pain under food and I can't. I know that storms only last a short period of time and me and 'baby' can wait it out.

    Stuck!

Your body is in a state of SHOCK and needs to figure it all out. I am stuck too, but I believe it will kick back in sometime and hopefully soon In the meantime, I stay focused and do what I do. Don't worry!!!

    Prayers Please

Dear Father, we lift up LeighAnneF's husband to you and ask that he recovers from this condition and be returned to perfect health. We realize that you died for our sicknesses and diseases and by your blood he is healed and restored. In Jesus name, Amen!

    Extreme Spitting

I spit a lot when I have reached 'full'. Are you sure that you aren't drinking too fast or too much in one sitting? When I reach over capacity for 'baby', that's what I call my pouch, I get very mucousy and spitty. Try sipping and taking it slow. If that doesn't work, then be persistent with your doctor to find out what the problem is.
  15. Well tomorrow is the day that I find out if I still have a job. This weekend was not pleasant because all I have been thinking about is that. Everything was riding on my manager, which got demoted, and her decision will sway what they do with me. Usually I would run for the border (Taco Bell) but not with 'baby' :)

Thank you releif57 and pupi! I do believe in when one door closes another one better will open. I have until June 30 to look, however, our Dean of Business is trying to work on my behalf as well. The other option may be a contract position and that stresses me out as well. Too much, too fast, but I know that All things work together for good!

    ESTOMACH SWELLING

I didn't have a swollen stomach. My doctor said that he tried to express all the gas out before I went to recovery. So glad that he did that.

    Lactose intolerant

Before the surgery I was LI but in denial because I love everything that is lactose . Now after, I have been eating less and trying to stay from those triggers so I eat babybel cheese, silk milk (lactose/gluten) free, haven't had ice cream, lactaid cottage cheese and I watch for these foods when I eat out. Before the surgery, I would have gas so bad AND diahreah with it. I thought it was IBS but found out that I don't carry the lactose antibody that some have to prevent attacks. Trying to live a lactose free lifestyle with my new baby pouch, however, I love a Dairy Queen small cone, so pray for me this summer
  18. I wish I had the tome to prepare a smoothie in the mornings, I would do them everyday. However, when I am around one I will go to a Jamba Juice and order a mango peach protein boost smoothie. So good!
  19. Made it to the gym yesterday after missing a whole week due to having a stressful work week. My body was hollering back at me during and after my workout, however, I have great clarity of thought since going and will push myself to go when I need it the most. ~during stress~

I know right, once you get past that why am I doing this stage it gets good. I'm trying to build up stamina for the elliptical machine. I try to go daily but hasn't worked out. I wanted to increase the amount of time each time. started to stop at 10 minutes but pushed to 15. glad i did.

  20. Did you get a hernia repair also? I have found that people that had an additional surgery procedure have more problems than people like me that didn't. Sometimes it takes time to get it together or to figure out what your triggers are. You may need to stay on liquids longer. Good luck!

    Question on timeline

Alls I can say, and hear me loud and clear...begin this process NOW because if you wait until August or September, others that start NOW will go before you for the year. The doctors push through those that must get their claim into insurance by the end of the year. They won't tell you this and will delay processing paperwork, or processes and make you go through mental hoops to hold you off for the next year. At least this was my journey at my clinic. I feel it really depends on the insurance you carry. Total time through my process was: 8 months. Either way, extremely happy

  23. Going through employment changes and a bit stressed. Went to sleep without eating last night at around 8pm and didn't get enough protein in. YAH!!!

  24. Maybe 2/month only. When you have them, make them count!
  25. Look, don't judge, but I ate a whole Plantain (Very Ripe) banana the other day because I hadn't eaten and I was craving that banana. It was sooo good! But that was a wrap for the rest of the evening. I didn't get my Protein for that day either for the sake of that banana - and a big one at that! The next day I recovered with eating more protein. I agree however, it does have a lot of carbs in it, but oh well. Variety is the splendor of life! Cheers~
