Hi all, I just got banded Wednesday, July 27. This afternoon, I noticed my stomach was very swollen and hard, like when I was pregnant. I know I've been swollen all week, but it feels different.. Hard. Is this normal? I don't have any additional pain, just the same discomfort that I've had. If anything, I am feeling better today. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal. Any feedback would be great. Thanks, KarenA

Hi Kathy, It's funny you should say "stop telling them". I also started my statement that I was going to San Diego, but my big-mouthed husband throws in TJ. He got it later for that, but he is one of the ones that is against it. I am so grateful for all the feedback on this site. Thanks again everyone

Hi All, Well, I made the mistake of sharing with my family that I'm scheduled with Dr. Kuri on 4/18 for the lap-band. (I should have known better). All I got was how stupid I am, why should I go to Mexico, I'm probably going to die, Try my Dr so and so, he did my belly lipo last year etc... I was really sure that I was doing the right thing. Based on my research on the web, especially on this site, Dr Kuri is a good choice. He has a lot more experience than a number of the Dr's in the US, plus his cost are much more doable. Can anyone who went to Mexico share the feedback you received from Friends and Family? I could use some support from those people who made the choice and don't have regrets. Hi all, I'm going to be banded on 4/18 with Dr. Kuri in Mx. Can anyone recommend a good fill doctor in southern NJ that will work with me after my surgery? I'm hearing not many American doctors will touch you if you have it done in MX, and I'm hoping not to have to travel on a 7 hour flight everytime I need a fill. Any info is apprecaited. Karen
