  1. Miss Mac is the endo the ultrasound? I have to do the sleep study. I guess because I replied I snore sometimes. Is that unusual? Not complaining though I'd rather be safe.
  2. Wishing you the best-can't wait to get where you are
  3. I'm in that boat too- however if it doesn't pan out during the holiday break then I will get surgery as soon as possible- putting my life on hold and my needs last is what got me here in the first place. There are plenty of substitute teachers in our district. The students will be fine.:-)
  4. Great job- you are such an inspiration!
  5. BCBS ***-PCP had to request referral then provider relations at hospital had to review file before first consult then dr/nut/psychologist and surgeon has to approve then it goes to insurance for approval meanwhile the stress of waiting is causing me to eat more- this process is my comorbidity
  6. UGH

  7. I'm right there too going through the rounds of test will finish dietician visits in December then it should be time to submit. Hopefully surgery will happen January or February.
  8. Another Dr Chand soon to be-have you all heard anything about Loyola's center and / or surgeons?
  9. My initial bariatric doc and nutritionist appt. is Wed. I meet with surgeon next week. I'm amazed at how nervous I am to just go to the appts and I do want this surgery. I'm just really scared. Was anyone else nervous even before the initial appts?
  10. Praying for successful surgery and recovery for all of you
  11. Wishing everyone good luck this week and a speedy recovery-check in as soon as possible
  12. I took phentetmine as well I think it's the gateway drug before surgery for some of us. I say that jokingly but there is a certain level of desperation that came after the phentetmine and years of diet failures that led to this place.
  13. Thank you that's helpful I couldn't find any feedback on the center here -maybe because it's fairly new my PCP is at Loyola and apparently since I have BCBS *** provider relations has to review my files first before I can even be seen in the center - if it doesn't go well I'll be looking forward to open enrollment in a few weeks I would hate that though I really like my PCP and have been with her forever
  14. Has anyone went through Loyola's Bariatric Center in Melrose Park Illinois if so please provide feedback-sorry hope that makes more sense
  15. If you're BMI is borderline (around 40) do they ever cancel the surgery if you lose during the diet period. I'm concerned about that-seems odd never thought I would be worried about losing weight. I just want this surgery!!!
