  1. I've tried egg protein powder that tasted ok.
  2. This was a post from a different forum that might help since the Protein goals aren't so lofty right away... The general rule when you are a newbie is 30 grams of protein in 30 days, 60 in 60 days, ans 90 by 80 days out. Your most important thing right now is to stay hydrated. Sip Water all day long, even when you don't want too. Sip, sip and sip some more. I got dehydrated very fast and felt awful. Anything sugar free counts, even broth.
  3. I placed an order from bariatric choice last night. I don't see Body Fortress protein powder but they have Bariatric Advantage, Celebrate, and Isopure and a bunch of other popular brands. I ordered from there for the free shipping and I got $20 off by using someone's referral code. Here's mine if you want to use it just follow the link you'll get $20 off and I will too. https://www.bariatricchoice.com/rewardsref/index/ref/id/119272/ hope you're recovering well-you sound up beat!
  4. Thank you- I began in October. My Nut insisted on 3 visits- only one seemed necessary and useful, the other visits she seemed out of things to talk about Insurance only requited one
  5. January 29th-only date available so far
  6. Thank you all I just have to monitor my eating. I only have a one week liquid diet and I find myself wanting to eat everything I know I won't be able to eat after surgery. I could do some real damage between now and 1/29.
  7. Exciting-hoping you recover quickly!
  8. I have a date-it's 1/29 which seems like forever but it's a date!!!
  9. Speaking of profiles when using the app on my iPhone if I try to click on someone's profile nothing happens
  10. Thanks both your comments are helpful-reminds me that my metabolism is still something I need to be mindful of even after surgery
  11. Cherry red hair Hooker name Queenie Adams-sounds scary:-)
  12. Congratulations and Merry Christmas what a great gift to give yourself!
  13. Congrats on a successful surgery! Hope to be joining you on the losers bench soon.
  14. Metabolism I rarely hear that word mentioned on the board. I'm hearing people say they are eating 600,800,1000 cal diets post op. Does that affect metabolism? I guess I'm asking about the whole starvation mode idea that's been taught over and over again.
  15. My office says about a month. I'm hoping that's the absolute longest and it will go a lot faster.
  16. I have two teens now- I always try to get them a couple clothing items wrapped separately just so they have something to open. Keep the receipt because they usually don't like what I buy but they're still happy because they have the money and some items to exchange.
  17. Hi Sleevinit I know what you mean-I keep thinking the same thing Thanksgiving time to pig out-then I think about my thin friends and family members at Thanksgiving dinner and how they don't seem fixated on overeating. When I think about it I remember they eat sensibly and then busy themselves with conversation, serving others, and cleaning up. I'm pre-op too but I think I'm going to try and think (eat) like a thin person. After all, this time next year I plan to be one. :-)
  18. That's why imho less is more-even the most supportive boss cares more about keeping things at work in order than the employee's health-which is fine it just means that I need to remember to put my health first-remember we don't have to tell everything because of health privacy laws
  19. Great job! How do you stop losing when you reach goal? Do you have to intentionally increase calories? Sorry if this seems like a dumb question it's just a concern I have pre-op.
  20. EGD completed-found out I have chronic gastritis, hatial hernia, and Schetze ring. My surgeon told me I need to get the bypass as a result. I really don't want to. I want the sleeve-less complications. Should I push for the sleeve? Anyone else with same diagnosis pre-op?
  21. You have to decide that you're no longer going to go along with just being in a hook up situation then let your partner know and stick to it -only then will you know if the other person is on the same page or not
