  1. Yes... I thought it was just me. My Nut does the same thing looks for any type of flaw in my journal to comment on. I really don't need that-if I had a perfect diet I wouldn't be having surgery! What they don't seem to realize is that most of us have a wealth of knowledge about proper nutrition from years of dieting. It's putting the knowledge into action...
  2. It seems as if even the more lenient insurance companies will deny surgery it your BMI is under 40 without diagnosed co-morbidities .
  3. Seela-Just in case you were not aware there is an edit button for post Not saying you have to but just so you know that your statement is offensive to more than the one person you pm'd- you may want to consider an edit
  4. That sucks-it shouldn't have made that much difference
  5. Yes very excited and nervous want to be on the other side of this process and in the healing stage asap because I'm confident it will only get better from there
  6. "Cue the sad violins..." Wow how insensitive...I feel sorry for you! This site really needs to be moderated better-it seems like that's the only thing that will help The patients are running the asylum :-)
  7. Really but you quoted me ( happen to be here one month-coincidence) and you clearly have been here longer than one month so what is it that you were saying? Never mind it REALLY doesn't matter
  8. I've been on this board a few more months so that gives me the right to say what I want:-)
  9. It's interesting how this same discussion keeps coming up by different people and every time the same people or their "likers" come in and start the silly" let's just change the subject with meaningless rhetoric" tactic If their reason for being here was just to be supportive and get support wouldn't they want to be open to hearing from people who we're having a negative experience and want to "help"? But I guess that's just me being naive...carry on
  10. Got it in case anyone else is wondering it's hi-ate-uhl I told someone today and she started asking detailed questions. It was so obvious I was lying...oh well I suck at lying
  11. My surgery will take place the last week in January. I'm really struggling with trying not to gain weight between now and then with the holidays approaching it's going to be tough. My mind is starting to think "food funerals" already.
  12. What the...? :-)
  13. Well said I'm going to have to bookmark this
  14. Just like high school...is it that only certain people get to be rude and snarky and no one calls them on it? Is it determined by how long you've been around? How popular you are? God forbid, how you look-no pic:-)? Just food for thought...
  15. I would like to say I'm having surgery for a hiatal hernia but not sure of how to pronounce the first word...lol Is it hi--a--tell?
