Actually, upon reading all the posts here, this site is truly a support group. In a support group, it is not only necessary to have people that are supportive to the OP, but is is also necessary to have people be honest and up front and confront OP's on the content of their posts. This creates a balance. Hopefully the person that is confronting is doing it in a loving caring manner.....We all deserve that...... Peace to everyone......

The only thing I'm going to contribute here is that I urge any new and researching folks to wait out the results of this thread before jumping to conclusions.
It is a physical impossibility for a properly sleeved stomach to first of all, stretch that much, especially that quickly (especially during the swollen healing phase) and all without the pain and vomiting that follows a sleever eating even a bite too many. Second, to stretch to the point where you could rapidly regain 20 pounds is something I have never, ever seen here. Anyone I've seen regain has regained on sliders. And immediately post op? No way.
Anyone that's been operated on can see there is something missing here - either on the OP's or surgeon's end. I reserve my own judgment for when we know more, but acknowledge that we can't ever really "know" anything about this situation because we're trusting in social media without any way to prove anything.
Remember those first few days post op? I clearly remember not being able to sip more than three spoonfuls of broth in the hospital because that much made me feel full. All sleeves aren't equal, but none of us can fit the quantities as discussed by OP on other threads, even at seven weeks post op.
So, let's not panic, everyone! Wait and see if anything more concrete comes from this, because this isn't even a case of getting a bypass instead of a sleeve. I have friends that had a bypass and none of them bounced back or were able to eat like that, either. In fact, I'd argue the bypass surgery was harder on all of them than my sleeve was on me!
OP - sorry you're going through whatever situation we have here. I hope that you won't disappear before filling us in on the rest of the story.

Most of us do.. But it doesn't mean we can't have success! We are getting this tool to help us and it does help. You just have to work it right and work on yourself too.

When you were first considering weight loss surgery and after you decide to have it did you keep it to yourself or tell everyone.
I have only told a few friends, my mom and my husband of course. I haven't told any of my other family member yet. Too much negativity and I don't need that right now.

Exactly. I had a friend that had the gastric bypass and have a friend that had the sleeve done and both felt that way even after loosing all of the weight they wanted to lose. My friend that had the sleeve said she just got over feeling that way recently.

I told no one but my husband and daughters. Even now, a year and a half later, I have only told three other people. When people ask how I have lost weight, I tell them diet and exercise. And that is the truth.

I waited until after the surgery to tell most people. I didn't need to hear their opinion.

I grew up being the target of bullies. So I am very guarded about giving my enemies ammunition. I didn't tell anyone but my best friend and my parents. Remember, you can tell people about the surgery anytime you want, but you can't untell them.
Here's my video explaining my stance on to tell or not tell.

    Hi VST family
I got my Protein samples from Nashua Nutrition today and I'm so excited to try them. .I read a lot of your post and thought it is going to be very important for me to know what I may or may not like way before it is time. I never realized there were so many flavors, types, and textures. I also didn't realize one serving size was that big. I was thinking the size of the little slimfast scoop for sure.
    My Sample Choices:

Hi. I am Suzanne from Saskatchewan Canada. I am 40 years young and I am happily married for 12 years. We have 2 gorgeous children that came to us through adoption. Our son, now 6 yrs old came home with us at 3 days old, only 5lbs and straight from the hospital. Our daughter now 4 came home at one day old also straight from the hospital at 8 lbs, 3oz. We overjoyed to be their parents.
I love to play guitar and sing, mostly country music.
I love spending time with family, my parents and friends. My mom has Alzheimer's and that's an emotional journey, but I cherish our time together.
I am a work at home mom.
I have struggled with my weight all my life, just because I love food. I became diabetic and had high blood pressure and cholesterol so I decided I needed to do this surgery so I hopefully can be around to watch my children grow. That's me in a nutshell

Tomorrow is my day. It has been a long day at work. Then I tutor a homeless child and now I am on my way home to pack my bag, change my bed linen, and go to bed. I feel like I'm coming down with a cold so I am going to call it an early night especially since I have to be at the hospital by 8am for my surgery at 10.

Hello all! Well I got 2 bags of Fluid, a shot if Thiamin, and 2 piggy backs of nausea meds. I do feel so much better. When I arrived there my BP was 131/110!!! even at my highest weight I have never ran that high, however; I know that was due to the dehydration. After 2 hours BP dropped to 139/97 then at 4 hours back to normal 127/74. My Dr doesn't want to stretch my throat at this time just yet, so he went ahead and sent me home. He did switch me to suppositories and 2 other meds for my stomach. So I'm hoping the next 24 hours will be uneventful. I am still trying to be optimistic and positive! Getting over this bump in the road will be a blessing! Thank you my VSG family! I don't know what I would do without you!!!! God Bless each one of you!!!!!

You need to at least TRY Prilosec or Omeprazole because it sounds like you "MIGHT" have acid reflux! My symptoms were just like yours. Try it for a few days, it takes that long to work. That's what worked for me. It might help you.
