  1. I hope they come around soon. It really would benefit them in the long run. Good luck! I hope it works out for you. Hopefully they can do it just before the new year so that won't happen to you.
  2. . When my husband had United they didn't cover WLS either. That makes no sense to me especially if it means helping the person have less needs for medication and medical attention.
  3. That is the part I'm frustrated with I have met my deductible and max out of pocket for the year so everything would have been covered at 100% but my Aetna plans requires a 3 month medically supervised diet plan (totally out of pocket) be done first. The many months I've been going to WW doesn't count. So there is no way I can get it done until next year when everything starts over again. As unfortunate as it is, it means my finances will dictate when I can actually have my surgery.
  4. I have decided to go with this group but I'm torn between Dr. Halmi and Dr. Moazzez to actually do my surgery. Does anyone have insight the can offer? It would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Sending prayers and best wishes you way. Good luck!!!!
  6. I went for my consultation last week. Although my doctors thinks I will have better resolution with the gastric bypass I'm still opting for the sleeve. When I sat down with finance I found out Aetna has a crap load of hoops and hurdles that have to be done before they will even allow the request to be submitted for approval. Are all insurance companies like this or just Aetna?
  7. I do a lot of mindless (eating without thinking about it) and emotional eating. I get I would fall into this category.
  8. How do you know if you are a food addict?
  9. I'm sorry determined. Family can be so frustrating at times. Do you think expressing your frustrations will help? You could put yourself in serious danger.
  10. OMG that's terrifying. I wonder why they use staples vs sutures.
  11. I love Zombies Run! I don't turn on the hoard because I can't run. I love the story line and the different missions. Great walking app too.
  12. Please keep us posted. Hopefully it will ease up and go away in no time.
  13. Wags it takes time to get over addictions and then again I don't know if you ever really do. First of all don't beat yourself up over the cheesecake but I agree stop and regroup. Trying looking at your before pics and remember why you decided to take this journey in the first place. You can do it!!
  14. Either way please call your doctor to be on the safe side.
  15. UGH

    Awwww Tiff I'm sorry.
  16. When you were first considering weight loss surgery and after you decide to have it did you keep it to yourself or tell everyone. I have only told a few friends, my mom and my husband of course. I haven't told any of my other family member yet. Too much negativity and I don't need that right now.
  17. How long does that last?
  18. I actually found the link on the site here. Happy tasting!! http://www.nashuanut...-1-serving.html
  19. Exactly. I had a friend that had the gastric bypass and have a friend that had the sleeve done and both felt that way even after loosing all of the weight they wanted to lose. My friend that had the sleeve said she just got over feeling that way recently.

  21. My friend has a nutri-bullet and swears by it. She got it from kohls for like $99 on sale. I was thinking about getting one to keep at work so I can make smoothies and shakes there and use my vitamix at home. JAT BTW I hate auto correct. lol
