looking for plastic surgeon in beaumont/Houston TX area
So anyone from Beaumont or Houston have good experiences with surgeons there? I have lost 142 pounds and now I am starting to research plastic surgery. I had a consultation with Dr Lyos in Houston but I am looking for other frame of reference so i would like to get a few other consolations to see what my options are. My insurance won't cover anything this will all will be self pay. I am a little overwhelmed in the quote I got for a tummy tuck and thigh lift but you do what ya gotta do I guess. I am also thinking I'd be more satisfied with a lower body lift instead of just at tummy tuck. I would like to find something a little cheaper but I understand you get what you pay for and I don't want to risk reduced quality of care just to save a few bucks. I also refuse to go to Mexico. I think that is crazy. I read some good things about Dr. Lamonico in Houston. anyone know about his prices or have had procedures done by him. There are a few surgeons in the town i live in. I live in Beaumont which is about 80 miles from houston. anybody had work done in beaumont?

so I've been on the hunt for some low car high Protein pancake recipes. I found a lot that called for wheat flour or some sort of rolled oat. So I know that white flour is a no no but wheat flour is ok?

slow losers I want to hear from you!
So I am officially a slow loser. Anyone else? I read so much about people who lost tons of weight really fast but I don't hear much about people losing slow. I know they exist. I mean I'm one of them so I know there has to be more. I had surgery on Nov 18 and I had lost 19 pounds in the 6 weeks prior to surgery. A week after surgery I hit stall for probably 3 weeks It was very frustrated but finally the scale started moving again and I felt better. So in the 9 weeks since surgery I have lost about 25 pounds. At first I felt very defeated since I kept reading about people dropping tons of weight really quick. Now I have come to terms with it. I'm doing everything the right way so as long as the scale keeps going down then i'm ok with it.

Another stall...ugh
ok. so I sucked down 60 oz of Water today. Yay for me..now i feel like i'm drowning...lol That is just a lot of water to drink everyday but I'm going to work on doing that.

4-month surgiversary
congrats! just curious about your stalls and how often they happened. i'm a few days away from being 2 months out and I'm already in my 2nd stall. I had 1st stall after week 1 and it lasted for 3 or 4 weeks Idk cuz I quit weighing. when I did weigh I lost 10 pounds. Now I finally weighed 2 weeks later and lost nothing. So this has been my 2nd stall. It makes no sense.

Another stall...ugh
This is so frustrating. I had surgery on nov 18 so Im almost 2 months out from surgery. I'm eating way better than I ever have. I average about 70 grams of Protein a day and between 700-900 calories a day. I can't seem to lose any weight though. I lost 20 pounds in the 2 months before surgery. I lost 10 pounds the 1st week of surgery then nothing for weeks. I'm not sure how long my stall lasted because I didn't weigh for a long time but it was at least 3 weeks long. I finally weighed because my clothes fit better and I lost an inch. I lost 10 pounds. So now 2 weeks later I decided to stand on the scale and I lost nothing! I guess this is how this is going to go. Lose a little bit then stall for 2 weeks then repeat over and over again. I don't eat junk. I focus on protein. I track everything I eat on myfitnesspal.com my screen name is "ucjes" if you would like to go check out my food diary and see what I'm eating. Any pointers would be appreciated. I've also been walking about 3 days a week. The only thing I can think of that I'm doing right is I"m not getting enough Water in. Would that just completely stall me out though? I'm not even eating 1000 calories a day! This is ridiculous! I'm not weighing for another 2 weeks. By the way inches aren't moving either. This is why I threw the scale up in the closet. It causes me too much anxiety.

I have no problems. Is this normal? Seems like I'm in the minority
So I have read so many stories from people who have had so many problems. It seems like I hardly hear of anyone having no problems like I have. Are they out there somewhere? I had surgery on nov 18 and had hardly any pain. The first day was kind of crappy but after that there was no problem. I had no problems with liquids, purees, soft foods and now solids. When I started on soft foods I ate a small tilapia filet almost every night. I don't get nauseous and I don't throw up anything. I had one exception with one of my tilapia nights. I decided to add mashed potatoes to it and that ended up being way too much. I did throw that up but that was the only time. Now I get full I stop like i'm supposed to. Nothing feels like a brick in my stomach like I read about a lot. Everything I have tried to eat has agreed with me besides that one time with mashed potatoes. For some reason mashed potatoes fills me up pretty quickly. I started on solids last week and I've eating salmon filets, shrimp and and tonight was the 1st night for chicken breast. No problems here. Ive also eaten a lot of turkey meatballs. they are pretty small that come in a bag made by Kroger. Pretty tasty. I usually eat between 700-900 calories a day. I excellent about getting in about 70 grams a Protein a day. Most everything I eat is protein. Unfortunatly no many veggies getting in since I'm so preoccupied with getting in my protein. I also seem to eat moderately fast and I probably don't chew up everything into tiny pieces like I'm supposed to but my stomach doesn't seem to mind. Anyone else have no problems? I would like to hear from you. Maybe Im' doing something wrong...idk....I track everything I eat in my fitnesspal.com My screename is "ucjes". Please add me and check out my food diary. any pointers would be great.

What are you eating 8 weeks out?
I will be 8 week out in a few days and I haven't had any problems eating anything. today--breakfast--Quest Protein bar lunch--6 small turkey meatballs with mozzarella cheese and marinea---they are kroger brand and kinda small so six is pretty easy to eat dinner--4.5 oz of chicken breast...I rolled it up with spinach, feta cheese, mushrooms, a bit of cottage cheese, and plain greet yogurt Does that sound like a lot? Too me it doesn't but I see other people eating like 1 bite of something and be full. Idk. add me on my fitness pal and check out my menu and tell me what you thing....ucjes@yahoo.com...my user is "ucjes"

Fish question!
Tilapia is a good choose. I ate a lot of it. I have no problems with shrimp. I've been eating it for a 2 weeks now. I'm almost 2 months out.

Unjury protein cheese sauce
I got that stuff but I keep screwing it up. The first time I got it too hot and it was chunky and pasty. It was really gross. The second time I made sure not to get it too hot but I put too much Water in it and it was still kind of chunky. I would like to try it again but I feel like Im just going to waste it again. Any suggestions??
