WJE626 got a reaction from kmbrcvzs in I can finally eat chicken!
Never thought I would be so thrilled to eat chicken.
I am 2 weeks post op. Moved to soft diet but have already been eating egg whites for a couple of days. I asked my doctor if I can eat the chicken in chicken noodle Soup and he said it was fine as long as chopped moist and chew it really small like the chicken in the Soup.
    Yayyyyy

WJE626 got a reaction from LittleLou in got my paperwork sent in.
I did everything for Cigna. Did the 3 months weight check in. Seen a nut. A psychologist, etc everything. The doctors office called 3 times to Cigna to make sure I was covered. I was scheduled for lapband February 22. On February 21 the doctors office called to tell me my surgery time, they called 5 minutes later to state my insurance didn't cover it. I called Cigna and they said the policy was set by my employer and they didn't cover it.
8 months later I decided to go with the sleeve since there is less maintenance and I had to pay out of pocket. I had my procedure yesterday October 8th and paid for it via care credit.
It was a long process but it what I wanted. Good luck to anyone with Cigna because all they did was give me the run around

WJE626 got a reaction from Amytequilahouse in Baby Shower What to Wear?
Baby doll blouse with gauchos or any dressy pants. I had to wear flip flops because my ankles were so swollen, but at least they were dressy type. I'm Latina too and my family ALWAYS gets dressed up.

I think it's the employer that picks what the program will cover, not the insurance company. So, some Blue Cross plans will cover it & some won't, depending on what each employer has decided to include. Your insurance card should have a member number on it that you can call to find out specifically what your plan covers. Good luck!
