I too suffered from PCOS pre-surgery (surgery Dec 2013). I would go sometimes years without a period if I didn't take medication and when I finally would have one it would last at least 2 months. My cycle finally started coming regularly in April of this year and I can now set my clock by it. It comes every 4 weeks as it's supposed to and last about 3-5 days. I too wish I would have done this much sooner. Best of luck to you.

Hi all! Had my 6 month anniversary last week. Things are going amazing!! I've lost a total of 126.2 pounds & 82.2 since surgery on 12-16. I've gone from a tight 24W to a 14 or XL in the ladies section! I've never recall being able to shop in the regular section! This surgery has been awesome. I can eat pretty much anything I want, have more energy for exercise, and am learning to be more social and put myself out there. Well wishes to everyone!

Just reached my 6 months, June 13. I'm down 93 from preop and 99 from highest.
I'm 5'4" and down from a 26/28 to a 16 pants and 18/20 tops.

As everyone has already said she has some serous issues and it's better that you find out now then look to her for support after your surgery and she abandons you. You don't need that kind of person in your life. Her exit from your like will leave an opening for just the right person to come along and be a true friend. Good luck to you.

L-in-NJ reacted to Georgia in FOUR YEARS TODAY!
Today is my FOUR YEAR SURGIVERSARY! It's hard to believe how fast these years have gone by! I'm very thankful and grateful that I was able to have VSG and it completely resolved my weight and health issues including High Blood Pressure, sleep apnea and knee/joint pain.
I'm at my original goal 148-150 and even though I've hit a few "bumps" along the way (regain of 27 pounds in year 3), I've managed to get back up, figure out a way to succeed and continue on!
I'm at a stage now where, knowing me, I've got to continue to make wise food choices. I tend to do really well for a while and then slowly allow junk to sidetrack me. I know by the way I feel now (tired) I am eating too many carbs and sugar!
BUT - I am four years out, completely a new woman in MOST WAYS and so very thankful for this day!!!!!
