I am 7.5 months post op and down 116.4 pounds! I started to get discouraged today because as the numbers get smaller, you don't see those huge changes in your body from month to month. So I thought maybe I should remind myself of where I've started & where I am. I shot this pic after my work out :-)

You have done so well so far....Something pushed you over. and just because it did does not mean that you can't start right now to eat properly again...that is the cool thing about this being an adventure or journey..It does not depend on you never making a mistake or having issues. It is about fixing your mind. Taking the time to find out why..So ask yourself why you ate so much that you threw up yesterday..I know you know the reason....
Step back kid and breath. And then think about it and make a change..that is what this journey is all about too!

I had to laugh because I have not gotten that 'holy crap' moment I've been waiting for from anyone either. The other day someone at work took a good look at me and said your ponytail looks nice lol. I'm like really that's the best I can get out of people! I keep thinking 5 more pounds, 10 more pounds and then it will come. I think maybe people don't want to acknowledge my weight loss because they politely ignored my weight gain. Loose skin, wrinkles and Hair loss but I just keep truckin along. Maybe a summer tan will do the trick lol .....signed, Hopeful

Ahhh the pre-diet binge. I had lots of food funerals. I'm glad I did. A relationship as strong as the one between me and pizza deserved a proper goodbye. I still hang out with pizza once in a while but we don't make love like we used to. Its just food.

I went the self pay route and had my sleeve done 10/14. I was told that with self pay I would pay approx 30% of the actual cost. Thought okay I will be able to swing the $12,000. Today I get a call from my husband who was in total shock, hospital bill came in at $27,000. That's without the surgeons or anesthesia bill I am not sure what to do, in total disbelief right now.

Callchrissy.......25g powder protein with 8oz of 1% milk 8g if protein = 33g of protein twice a day plus a few oz of Greek yogurt brings me close to 70. Water is harder but my tummy really likes Luke warm Decaf tea, 16oz x 2 and the rest is struggle down w bottled water. Water is the hard one. That sums up my existence these last few weeks.

At 45 I am forced to go for a single process touch up every 3 weeks (prematurely grey). Will I not be able to do this? I can possibly stretch it out to 4 weeks. Will I have to go grey in order to keep my hair? ? My sleeve surgery is Oct 14th.

I feel like it came up on me very fast, started the process 3rd week of July. I have not told my family or friends, just my husband (the kids don't even know). Not sure how to handle people's opinions so I just decided to avoid giving them the chance.
